A gay person named Bob.Oh look a gay person named Jonathan Crutchley, founder of some gay thing called Manhunt.net, has, er, maxed out a $2,300 donation to John McCain against Barack Obama. People have been sending us this tip like crazy, but whatever? Everyone knows that all gay people not named “Andrew Sullivan” hate Barack Obama for stealing the election from Queen Hillary. At least one Republican acknowledges the truth about their party. SOOOO gay.

Scarab August 14, 2008 at 1:04 pm

So he’s into bears not twinks, what’s the big deal?

GlennBecksTaint August 14, 2008 at 1:04 pm

Republicans aren’t gay. They’re just ‘confused’.

BenG August 14, 2008 at 1:05 pm

Super gay dance party in the Minnesota log cabin this year!

Makeithurt August 14, 2008 at 1:08 pm

Barry has not fully and unconditionally voiced his support that gay Americans be guaranteed the rights given to them by virtue of their birth or natualization as American citizens. His smarmy tone and refusal to address the issue in front of gay people has led many of us to wonder just how “down low” his acceptance of gay persons is. Isn’t it just the typical African American reactive response to gay affection and gay identification? Of course it is.

African American acceptance of gay persons is one of the biggest frontiers of prejudice and oppression. The lack of response by black persons to the genocide of HIV disease within the black community makes us all wonder why Barry doesn’t preach to people about that as he did about black dead beat fathers.

Barry is afraid. He’s remember just how much he liked his same sex adventures and wants so very desperately to dissociate himself from it.

So contrast and compare: Hillary and Obama’s gay agenda and you can see why MANHUNT just may be wanting to give the issue a little nudge. Fine by me. And BTW, Andrew Sullivan is an asshole.

SayItWithWookies August 14, 2008 at 1:09 pm

I wouldn’t be surprised if he gave money to Obama too. He’d want to make sure that his bread is buttered on both sides. Like his men.

Oh, and nice Charlie Crist action figure, BTW.

Insanity is rising – Intelligence’s getting low
According to all sources, the stall’s the place to go
Cause tonight for the first time
For about twenty bucks
For the first time in history
They’re gonna start gaying McCain.

It’s gaying McCain! Hallelujah! – It’s gaying McCain! Amen!
I’m gonna go out to run and let myself get
Absolutely fabulous!
It’s gaying McCain! Hallelujah!
It’s gaying McCain! Every Specimen!
Short, White, Old and Jowly
Cranky and moldy and lying and mean!

Godot August 14, 2008 at 1:10 pm

I don’t see why it’s news that gay people favor McCain.

South Carolina hasn’t gone for a Democrat since Carter.

That’s funny, Crutchley didn’t seem to me like the closeted type.

[re=59647]ManchuCandidate[/re]: That McCain fan club trio from a few months ago completely ruined that song for me. Thank you for bringing it at least partially back from the dead.

NoWireHangers August 14, 2008 at 1:17 pm

[re=59644]Makeithurt[/re]: Barry HAS addressed HIV in the black community and homophobia in the black community. He wrote a letter to the gay community back in February: http://wonkette.com/362023/obama-writes-open-letter-to-americas-gays
Yes, Barry’s big tent brings together the African American community (some members of which are homophobic) and the gay community, but the point of Barry’s coalition is to bring different groups together to get things done. I marched in the LA Gay Pride Parade with Obama supporters of every race and sexual orientation.

And any argument that WALNUTS! is better for the gay community is pure shit. Mr. Crutchley can vote for whoever he wants, but I figure his rationale is that the more closeted-self-loathing gays there are, the better his one-night-stand cruise site will fair. Or you know, it could be that he’s loaded and is a log cabin fiscal conservative.

SayItWithWookies August 14, 2008 at 1:17 pm

[re=59644]Makeithurt[/re]: Maybe you’re just not paying attention? This has been out for a while — and while it’s not ideal, it’s certainly more progressive than any other candidate for prez in recent history.

weirdiowasculpture August 14, 2008 at 1:18 pm

Jonathan needs to start Gays for McCain, or Homosexuals for McCain, of Cocksuckers for McCain, or whatever, get the T-shirts made through the McCain website, and show up in force at all his rallies with gigantic signs. And if he doesn’t, we should.

Doglessliberal August 14, 2008 at 1:20 pm

[re=59644]Makeithurt[/re]: it appears you write things without doing a modicum of research. Google “Barack Obama gay rights”, why don’t you? And have you read this speech?

chitownlib August 14, 2008 at 1:25 pm

Ohhhh myyyy Godddd. Manhunt is the butt of every other joke in the well-adjusted gay community. It’s where creepy, gross, usually closeted and married men go to hook up with others of their kind. If only all you breeders knew just how hilarious this is.

I sense a new username popping up soon…HairyWalnutz6969?

[re=59661]SayItWithWookies[/re]: [re=59660]NoWireHangers[/re]: What they said.

I’m bisexual and can’t, for the life of me, see a reason to vote for McCain in regards to gay rights. It is well known that some black people tend to shun gays pretty fervently. This is a big reason why so many black men carry HIV without knowing it because they can have sex with men “on the down low” without considering themselves queer. It’s a horrible way to go through life.

On a side note, I was turned away from a blood bank yesterday because I’m a homosexual male. Apparently, due to FDA restrictions, you can’t donate blood EVER if you’ve had sexual contact with another male at any point. I have safe sex and get routine STD screenings but nope, my blood isn’t good enough. Any other moe’s out there aware of this? It was news to me.

The Incomparable Tiny Valdez August 14, 2008 at 1:29 pm

He donated because 85% of Manhunt users are Republicans.

[re=59671]chitownlib[/re]: Geez. Whatever happened to the Minneapolis airport bathroom? That doesn’t require user fees.

NotUrEvryDayWEzl August 14, 2008 at 1:34 pm

[re=59675]KevoTron[/re]: Oh yeah. My first bf always lied and gave blood anyway. For me, I cant get too worked up over it since I hate needles and blood so having an excuse to avoid them is A-OK in my book, but then again I’m a selfish bastard (i.e., Wonkette commenter)

HomoPolitico August 14, 2008 at 1:34 pm

Yes, but where does Adam4Adam and DudesNude stand on McCain/Obama issue?

Doglessliberal August 14, 2008 at 1:35 pm

[re=59675]KevoTron[/re]: yeah, it is pretty insane. The list of banned donors is ridiculous: been to Haiti, ever? Been to British Isles between X date and X date?–that one for mad cow. Ever had skin cancer? Cannot donate.

And McCain is hardly a friend to gay rights. Check out the voting ratings:

Scarab August 14, 2008 at 1:36 pm

Crutchley gave $2300 to McCain? What a cocksucker.

chitownlib August 14, 2008 at 1:36 pm

[re=59675]KevoTron[/re]: Yeah I always make a stink about it at blood drives when they ask me to donate. It’s the most outdated policy ever. They test the blood for disease no matter what, so I don’t see why they continue to discriminate.

sati demise August 14, 2008 at 1:38 pm

[re=59644]Makeithurt[/re]: Oh, well then why has Barry has been talking about respectin’ teh gays in every speech?

And he did bring it up in front of a bunch of very proper church people, in Martin Luther Kings church, of all places!

You all know, Barry has been respectin’ teh gays since this campaign started. “All Americans, black, white, rich, poor, gay and straight”,…..like it has become the tag line for every speech he makes.

Americablog did a word search on speeches about teh gay. Barry said the words: gay and GLBT and lesbian many more times than Hillary.
I think McNasty is going to have to refund this fellows money or Dobsons head is going to explode.

HomoPolitico August 14, 2008 at 1:38 pm

[re=59675]KevoTron[/re]: You shoulda seen the shit fit I threw on September 11, 2001 when they turned me away from a blood bank in Dayton, Ohio. Screaming at the top of my lungs about family living or working mere blocks away from the White House and the WTC. Had to be dragged out by my friends before I attacked someone.

Yeah, not my greatest moment. Not the FDA’s greatest either.

[re=59687]NotUrEvryDayWEzl[/re]: [re=59694]Doglessliberal[/re]: [re=59697]chitownlib[/re]:

I’m really interested in finding out who is pushing this agenda. The woman at the clinic was really sweet and very apologetic. Apparently this comes up every couple of years and somebody tries to get it tossed out but various groups step up and fight it. Who could that be? HIV awareness groups? Fundies? It just seems like a very strange cause to take up considering all donations get screened for HIV, Hepatitis, etc.

Not that I believe this but if you’re following that logic than you shouldn’t be able to donate if you’re black or hispanic because you’re ten or seven times as likely (respectively) to carry HIV if you fall into either category. Fucking strange policy for a country so in need of blood donors.

Because I’m not your stereotypical queer I usually go through life with people identifying me as straight so this was one of the only times I felt honestly discriminated against. troubling to say the least.

KevoTron August 14, 2008 at 1:44 pm

[re=59704]HomoPolitico[/re]: Sadly, it’s not the fault of the blood banks. They want to pump every pint they can. It’s a stupid FDA regulation. Good for you for donating and making a stink though. When I have some free time I plan to do some research on this and write some letters (I learned about stern letters from Harry Reid.)

Sounds like Barry should get on his knees and beg for mercy!

…wait, that’s his Manhunt profile. My bad!

wheelie August 14, 2008 at 1:49 pm

For too long, gays have shunned members of the republican community, treating them as second-class citizens. It is well known that when a gay starts to exhibit republican tendencies, he is branded as either a virgin or a pedo. I believe that Republicans should have the right to marry, and yes, the right to be republican parents even.

What they do inside their own bedrooms, such as reading passages by Jonah Goldberg aloud to each other, may seem disgusting and perverted to many, but they are entitled to do it privately.

[re=59700]sati demise[/re]: (kidding aside) That’s true. I’ve noticed for a long time now that he brings the issue up again and again.

Yeah, just assume that Obama’s just like whatever random homophobic black kid you met who pissed you off and made you write this rant.

If I was like you I’d think ALL GAY PEOPLE were as annoying as you are.

But I know it’s probably just you and one or two of your sad little friends.

The blood donor question “have you ever had sex with a man?” has been there since I started giving blood in the late 90′s (I got my five gallon donor pin a couple of months ago). As is “have you ever had sex with anyone in exchange for money or drugs?” which depending on interpretation I might fail. And all the “have you ever been to Africa?” “..Europe for more than six months?” etc. etc. etc.

BenG August 14, 2008 at 2:06 pm

I’m gay and MANHUNT gives me the (started to say ‘willies’) – - gives me the creeps. I should have known there was GOP involvement – the guys are mostly 40% body fat & chinless. Well, they’re not getting another inch from me. I’m sure “MY BARACK OBAMA” site has a barebacking chat room if I lay off the poppers long enough to look.

Guppy06 August 14, 2008 at 6:09 pm

He’s contributing to the candidate most likely to keep teh buttsecks immoral and dirty, i.e. fun. If the Homosexual Agenda (TM) ever came to pass and it became as accepted and mundane as blow jobs, then gays everywhere would have to learn how to do it right.

Jingo August 15, 2008 at 2:16 am

It’s a simple business move. McCain is against gay marriage. If it was legalized, the gays would all start pairing up and stop suscribing to Manhunt.net. Then the republicans will be driven back to public restrooms for some “closed door sessions” with their backers.
