THAT’S SEXIST: “As an actual feminist, I have the great good joy of getting to determine what is and isn’t sexist. Sexist: Asking whether Sarah Palin shouldn’t be staying home with her baby and her other children. Not sexist: Pointing out that Sarah Palin is an utter twit.” [Commie Girl/LA City Beat]

What a loathsome week! Please end.

Vanity Smurf September 4, 2008 at 3:05 am

I thought the Klan usually wore hoods to their rallies and held them outside. What was up with tonight? Was the cross burning in the parking lot across the street?

the doctor September 4, 2008 at 3:24 am

[re=83750]Vanity Smurf[/re]: They knew they would be on the teevee so they wanted to look their best. And it’s after labor day.

Special Agent Jack Mehoff September 4, 2008 at 3:25 am

As an actual American, and not an Unactual American I’d like to say poop. You must all respect that.

John McClain September 4, 2008 at 3:42 am

I’m not going to click thru to the actual article, cos my eyes ain’t so good no more and it’s hard for me to read words written in lipstick and smeared menstrual blood, but Sarah Palin has what amounts to 6 kids— even though only four of ‘em popped out of her personal beaverhole. Yes, I think it’s safe to say that’s too many damn kids for her to take care of and be an effective Vice President, especially when her beloved Todd is off having all those klandestine sexual affairs. Also, she is a semi-coherent piece of hateful shrill snowbilly trash and I hope to god someone has the decency to sterilize her brood before they overpopulate Oilaska and get that elusive fourth electoral vote.

PS: Trig Palin’s real daddy is Vladimir Putin…

Lionel Hutz Esq. September 4, 2008 at 3:57 am

Haven’t the Republicans made it clear yet. She has boobs. You must not question her!

Special Agent Jack Mehoff September 4, 2008 at 4:05 am

WTF is a “great good joy”?

Special Agent Jack Mehoff September 4, 2008 at 4:13 am

I mean srsly I put my lips on alota strange brew in my time but I always had either one or the other. Great? Yes. Good? Yes. Both? What does that mean?

PhyrePhox September 4, 2008 at 4:17 am

(Just need to get this off my chest…)

Sigh. I don’t care that you are a woman. I don’t care who Trig’s daddy is. I don’t care how big the population of Wasilia is, or how many moose you have killed defending it. I don’t care about the damn bridge, ’cause even if you did stop it from being built, the money still didn’t get to New Orleans to help improve the levies.

You are nobody from nowhere. You are hopelessly out of your depth. Go home and keep the Russkies at bay and let us get on with fixing this country without this useless noise.

I feel better now.

Oh, and “Hi” Wonkette-ers! Be seeing you!

PhyrePhox September 4, 2008 at 4:31 am

Aw, fuck: I misspelled levees. I’ll just crawl back under my rock now…

trondant September 4, 2008 at 5:25 am

It’s all gibbering drunks this late, isn’t it? It’s OK – I can’t type either.

druranium September 4, 2008 at 5:25 am

Its OK PhyrePhox
I really agree with you and don’t mind the fucking misspelling
Here is my fucking interpretation of the last 5 days:
You have got to be fucking kidding me.
Sarah Palin?
Thats pretty much encloses it in a nutshell in Walnuts’ jowel.
Even though it keeps rattling around my brain in different ways, that’s all it is.

druranium September 4, 2008 at 5:27 am

[re=83776]trondant[/re]: I take offense at your statement! Just because we are drunk certainly doesn’t mean we’re gibbering.

njdon September 4, 2008 at 5:37 am

just dreamt that the board of ed in my two bit town in new jersey was running yhe world. ha. ha?

Sabre_Justice September 4, 2008 at 5:46 am

This just keeps gettin’ better.

artbot2000 September 4, 2008 at 5:53 am

Hey, to be fair to our new little princess, why is it that beefy old Todd never considered a vasectomy? Generally speaking, that many hours on a snowmobile at his age and family planning’s pretty much a done deal, ya know. That being said, so who’s the daddy, if i may be so blunt as to pose the obvious question?

Christ, this woman is, like, EVERYTHING. She’s Tracy Flick and Monica Goodling and Magda Goebbels and Spiro AND Judy Agnew and thousands and thousands more! She’s at one with Ted Stevens, whose ear is a smoking tomb! Who knew that Alaska politics had such SCOPE?

And to those people who say she should stay “home” with her kids, I have this to say: hey! Leave those kids alone! Why do you think more quality time with this dreadful bitch would make them happier people? Would it do that for you? Don’t answer that.

PuffAdder September 4, 2008 at 6:19 am

“As an actual feminist, I have the great good joy of getting to determine what is and isn’t sexist.”

This is a joke, right? An attempt at levity that didn’t quite work, right?

nycguy September 4, 2008 at 6:30 am

Hey you guys are tooooo harsh on her. At least she’s no Dick Chaney.

druranium September 4, 2008 at 6:36 am

[re=83787]PuffAdder[/re]: I dunno, it works for me! (i am an actual feminist too and don’t like republican douchebag males telling me I’m sexist for wanting to hear palin answer a fucking question)
Any question Sarah!
Just answer a goddamn question!
p.s. I don’t think anything leveled against her sofar has been sexist

Servo September 4, 2008 at 7:15 am

“Ya takes the money, ya takes the chances.”

njdon September 4, 2008 at 7:20 am

women are really smart. our neighbor in the next apartment in the bronx, berths k—–, had all the answers too. if she were alive, she would be mccain’s vp.

RuperttheBear September 4, 2008 at 7:36 am

As an actual bear, I get to determine what is and isn’t actually ursine, and WHAT?

Makeithurt September 4, 2008 at 7:37 am

Right on. I think that McCain and Palin are racists. She wouldn’t have had the nerve to talk about a white guy the way she talked about Obama. She was obviously making veiled references to Obama’s penis size and his ability to throw three pointers. She said everything but, “you nappy headed porch monkey”.

snig September 4, 2008 at 7:53 am

Seriously. Pat Buchanan with tits is not a feminist. She’s a hotter version of Phyllis Schafly.

Terry September 4, 2008 at 7:54 am

The Obama camp needs to send Hillary out first to take Palin apart point by point. Show the Hillary die hards that Palin ain’t no Hilz. Then during their debate, let Biden be the intelligent, well spoken, statesman like person on stage while Palin foams at the mouth.

kneejerk September 4, 2008 at 8:07 am

Agreed.

freakishlystrong September 4, 2008 at 8:23 am

[re=83803]RuperttheBear[/re]: Oh Rupert, Thank you!

freakishlystrong September 4, 2008 at 8:26 am

Isn’t it great how Republitards have selective memory? What last eight years? Pat Buchanan and Joe were predictably full throated this AM about our next great Veep, nauseating….

Texan Bulldoggette September 4, 2008 at 8:29 am

Is it sexist to think she’s a total bitch? Because if it is, so sad for me. What, did Cindy’s cuntness start to fade & he needed to find someone else he could call a cunt? If so, he found the perfect person.

Servo September 4, 2008 at 8:36 am

[re=83812]Terry[/re]:
She’ll be his ‘nucular’ weapon. They’ve had her chained and agitated in a 4×6 cell with no Crown Royal. Timing is crucial on the release. Wait for it…wait for it…NOW! H-Rex will happily strip the flesh of the Alaskan princess. Bones crunching in teeth. Rivers of blood. Color will drain from the land and sky. “Burn the witch, burn the witch. We shall cleanse the Earth with fire” the Hilltards will chant.
Sorry. Got a little carried away.

llyn September 4, 2008 at 8:43 am

[re=83783]artbot2000[/re]: yes, yes to your last paragraph, especially.

4tehlulz September 4, 2008 at 8:46 am

>>I think that McCain and Palin are racists.

Considering what “Community Organizer” is code for, I would agree.

slithytoves September 4, 2008 at 8:50 am

[re=83819]Texan Bulldoggette[/re]: I am a feminist and a woman and I feel it’s all right to call her a bitch because she is one. Please don’t call her or anybody else a cunt though (as far as Im concerned it’s as obscene as nigger), leave that sort of inhumanity to fuckholes like McCain.

Texan Bulldoggette September 4, 2008 at 8:52 am

[re=83821]Servo[/re]: I hope you’re right. I’m still not completely convinced they want Hopey to win, so she can run in 2012. Then it would be a Hillary vs. Mother Sarah battle–boy that would be kind of entertaining. (But I do Hopey wins, just so we don’t have to listen to the “Fargo” accent for 4 years, oh & the economy and health care and international relations and not getting into wars with other countries who have mustachioed leaders….).

The Incomparable Tiny Valdez September 4, 2008 at 8:56 am

She’s a self-aggrandizing, narcissistic, braindead twat who is also a mean, venal, corrupt shell of a human hiding behind the phony facade of a pious, holier-than-thou MILF who thinks anyone cares about her billion trashy little babies. And a bitch too. Is that sexist?

Texan Bulldoggette September 4, 2008 at 9:00 am

[re=83826]slithytoves[/re]: Frankly I’ve never used, typed or said that word before in my life. But I think she truly deserves the moniker. She earned every letter of it last night.

Deez Walnuts September 4, 2008 at 9:00 am

I don’t get how you unactual Americans cannot be inspired by Karen Walker Jr.?

I was so inspired I hightailed it over to my computer, pulled out my debit card and made a donation to Barack Obama–my first ever donation to a political campaign.

Why did she decide to introduce herself to all of America (after most had already gone to bed, mind you) as a trashy, tacky bitch. At first I thought I was listening to Ann Coulter, but then realized there wasn’t enough testosterone in her voice.

What an absolute ragamuffin. And does Alaska have corn? Cuz’ her spawn are the children of it.

Canmon (the Inadequate) September 4, 2008 at 9:08 am

This article was obviously written, and the Ben Stein interview below took place, before Palin’s speech. I guess the point of these postings was to say: “remember when we thought Sarah Palin would be awful?”.

Garble September 4, 2008 at 9:08 am

But she has such a compelling story.

A spoiled twit from a rich family fails in the private sector then rises up in politics through corruption and dirty campaigning until holding an office despite being grossly unqualified.

Republicans have never seen anything like this before!

RuperttheBear September 4, 2008 at 9:15 am

[re=83843]Canmon (the Inadequate)[/re]: Palin is awful. She read someone else’s hate-filled, logically ridiculous crap. Note: When you put blood in the water, sharks get excited. Feed republicans malicious logical insanity = WHITE PEOPLE DANCING

gurukalehuru September 4, 2008 at 9:19 am

Is it sexist to question her decision to fly from Texas to Alaska while she was in the early stages of childbirth?
Is it sexist to point out that she, like Bristol, was pregnant before she was married?
Is it sexist to be a bit perturbed that Wonkette has turned a really lame-ass pink color?

I realize that you guys have to make a buck but, damn, how much are they paying?

Monsieur Grumpe September 4, 2008 at 9:26 am

Great article. I felt like having a cigarette after reading it.

grendel September 4, 2008 at 9:58 am

I dunno, I’m a father and I’d be asking the same questions of the father of a 4 month old with special needs taking a job that’s basically going to take up 100% of your time. I agree, though, that the kids are not necessarily better off with that bitch around…

Meaux September 4, 2008 at 10:20 am

I’m a feminist AND a mother, and I say she has no business taking on such a time/energy-consuming project with a four-month-old. That is the fricking “pro-life” position right there–just keep producing the babies, don’t bother giving them the full care and commitment every baby should get. That is exactly why I’m rabidly pro-choice–no one should be having babies they’re not gonna care for, whether they’re addicted to crack or their own ambition. If the kid were four YEARS old, that’d be a different story. But an infant? Sit your ass down and tend your baby, or give it up for adoption to someone who will. Asshole.

Sean O September 4, 2008 at 10:57 am

[re=83828]Texan Bulldoggette[/re]: The thing is, this is the only chance the Clintards have of ever winning an election again. Dedicated hopey supporters will not forget her horrible campaign, and we demand our pound of flesh.

All of this talk about Obama “being nice to Hillary” is plain idiocy. Hillary is psychotic, and she’s been called for duty. If she annihilates Palin like she’s capable of doing, we forget her campaign and root her on for 2016. If she stays hidden or half-asses it, we donate to the opposition in NY.

shoeho September 4, 2008 at 11:20 am

[re=83833]Texan Bulldoggette[/re]: I tend to agree. I too am a feminist and am insulted by this pick to appeal supposedly to “women.” WTF? I’ve never used the “C” word either, but if I was going to, I’d use it for SP.

[re=83901]Meaux[/re]: To paraphrase Barney Frank: The R’s care about life from conception to birth.

springfield_meltdown September 4, 2008 at 11:32 am

I doubt if Hillary is going to jump in since the Hiltards are joining in the complaining of sexism against Palin. And we aren’t supposed to question her for having 5 kids, including the baby, and deciding to go for the vice presidency. Honestly, I wouldn’t be so concerned about it if her husband didn’t work and stayed home with the kids while she pursued her career.
That said does anyone think she knows anything about being a Republican other than opposing abortion and clinging to power no matter what?

sanantonerose September 4, 2008 at 12:24 pm

And the Repubs will be using sexism to their advantage.

Think of it this way: Palin, as a “traditional woman” will make an excellent national “wife” alongside McCain in the White House.

Psychologically speaking, Mommy Palin is very soothing and re-affirming to both genders. We’ll never be able to paint her as a bitch (ala Clinton) and folks simply won’t care if she’s a twit. She’s an attractive female version of Dubya.

Miller September 4, 2008 at 1:18 pm

Analysis of sexism is sexism, so there. I’ve constructed a logical sexist prison for you to languish in forever.

[re=83812]Terry[/re]: It’s weird. For the first time ever I kind of wish Hillary had been the VP, so I could watch Hills clean Sarah’s clock. I’m sure I’ll get over it though, next time I hear someone utter the phrase “Commander In Chief test.”

[re=84099]Miller[/re]: How many feminists does it take to change a light bulb?

That’s not funny.

How many sexists does it take to change a light bulb?

Well hello, I’d like to change your lightbulb.

Goodbye. I’m going to Salt Lake City and may not ever return or if I do I’ll have long hair to wash JEEBUS’S feet with.

BaxterJones September 4, 2008 at 2:21 pm

I thought Jon Stewart did a great job last night pointing out (to Newt Gingrich, no less) why Palin’s family is fair game in this election — basically, she made it so. She can’t mention her family in her speech and use them as political props and then turn around and get mad at the media for talking about her family.
