Now THAT’S the G.O.P. I can believe in – to be completely f!ckin’ evil…

Keram2 February 19, 2009 at 12:27 am

Although Google Maps is telling me different, Corfu seems awful close to Oniontown right now…

psilage February 19, 2009 at 12:32 am

Well, it’s not a sex crime, I guess.

S.Luggo February 19, 2009 at 12:49 am

[re=246777]psilage[/re]: Nor Alaskan tax fraud. Just a small business dispute.

Lascauxcaveman February 19, 2009 at 12:52 am

[re=246775]Bearbloke[/re]: Oh, come now. There’s bludgeoning and then there’s justified bludgeonging. It make s a difference.

“An unidentified customer at the K&K Food Mart said he didn’t want to comment because he knows (the alleged bludgeoner) personally. “He’s a good guy,” the man said.”

If you’re you’re a good guy, it’s OK to beat your business partner to death right? This is New York, right? I’m guessing these two co-owned a leather jacket store or something.

I understood that being a completely ignorant asshole was a requirement for being involved with the Republican Party. However, I was under the impression that killing people was limited to the upper echelons of the GOP. Then again, Refucklickan police regularly torture and kill whoever they want to for no good reason at all.

Scott Doll is definitely guilty of showing his ignorance of party procedures. There’s no way to cover their tracks before they are actually in office. How freaky is the name Scott Doll? Is his wife named Barbie? Do they have a demon possessed offspring named Chucky? Because that would explain a lot.

On a slightly related note–

I had hoped Big O would bring some justice into the White House with him. It’s looking a lot like he’s gonna keep the torture, renditions and indefinite detentions. So much for the kind of change I can believe in. Overhaul of state prisons through federal oversight, universal health care, truth, transparency, justice… those are all things our new President still has a chance to bring about. Let’s all hold our breaths.

Sarah Palin/Scott Doll – 2012

El Pinche February 19, 2009 at 1:00 am

All he needs is to do now is manfuck a cubscout and he’ll be qualified to be King Shit of the GOP.

Lascauxcaveman February 19, 2009 at 1:08 am

[re=246788]2druk2phluq[/re]: Dream on, Tinkerbell. Barry’s a politician, get used to it. The only thing on your list that might make the light of day is the health care thing, and that will be an up hill battle.

Edywin February 19, 2009 at 1:10 am

If bludgeons are outlawed, only outlaws will have bludgeons. You can have my bludgeon only when you pry it from my victim’s cold dead skull. If every man, woman and child in America had a bludgeon, we would see less of this kind of behavior.

SayItWithWookies February 19, 2009 at 1:13 am

The Republicans are scraping the bottom of the barrel — even MacBeth knew you have to hold office before you start killing off your rivals.

Edywin February 19, 2009 at 1:20 am

Editorial question: Why am I looking at cadaverous succubus Anne Coulter as I write my very trite and witty repartee? If you like Mr Layne, if you need some financial help, I and many others will send in a dollar each to fund the intellectual curiosity we in the heartland call Wonkette, . If enough of us donate, would you change her picture to one of Noseferatu? I for one find his image more comforting than the Coultermeister’s.
Thanks for your kind attention to this matter.

burton judson February 19, 2009 at 1:48 am

Corfu, New York? Jezus, what is with those upstate place-names? I used to know a repulsive hick from “Mexico, New York.” Didn’t think it got more retarded than that.

El Pinche February 19, 2009 at 1:48 am

[re=246789]S.Luggo[/re]: Ashley Todd for Sec. of State! And Sam Wurzelbacher for Chief of Staff. I could go on and on since there’s a giant pool of republican retards to choose from.

S.Luggo February 19, 2009 at 1:54 am

[re=246793]Lascauxcaveman[/re]: “Barry’s a politician, get used to it.”

And, to date, not a very competent one, i.e. for allowing the Repugs to get ahead of him on the curve about this non-partainship crap. He has failed to pick up on the fact that citizens are now more concerned about economic relief than about inter-party kissy face.

Re national issues, Barry is not, as rumored, a flexible pragmatist. In his devotion to bipartainship, he is an ideologue. As I posted 8 months ago, this ideology will allow Mitch McConnell, and the rest of the ever-repositioning, amoral Congressional Repugs, to kick his butt.

I love reading about martyrs and saints. But only in historical texts. .

jagorev February 19, 2009 at 1:58 am

Is this “Corfu, New York” place even real? I’ve never heard of it. Google Maps, in its whimsical way, seems to put it halfway between East Bumfuck and Buffalo, but obviously no one would live there (being bludgeoned to death would be preferable).

jagorev February 19, 2009 at 2:09 am

[re=246788]2druk2phluq[/re]: It’s looking a lot like he’s gonna keep the torture, renditions and indefinite detentions.

uh, no.

S.Luggo February 19, 2009 at 2:10 am

[re=246801]El Pinche[/re]: And New York State’s former Senate Majority Leader, Republican Joseph Bruno, as papal ambassador once he is released from Attica.

Funny that Spitzer was boring in on Bruno before the Diamond Whore farrago.

S.Luggo February 19, 2009 at 2:16 am

[re=246803]jagorev[/re]: Corfu is an eastern-most annex of Skokie. QED.

Lionel Hutz Esq. February 19, 2009 at 2:41 am

If only John McCain had known about this person before he chose Sarah Palin. With a true Conservative like this, nothing could have stopped him.

[re=246786]Lascauxcaveman[/re]: I hate to disagree with my fellow Washingtonian, but Republicans are all about the handguns. Nothing is justified unless it was justified with a Mac 10.

Magnus Maximus February 19, 2009 at 2:43 am

Hmm, I know we’re getting OT here with the Barry talk, but I think he’s smart to stick with the bipartisan pragmatist angle. The GOP might have him against the ropes in the short-term, but in the end it could work out better for him. After all, one of his biggest strengths during the campaign was consistency and steadfastness; when John McCain was scrambling around with one finger perpetually in the air, Barry was cool and collected and did not waver. He ran on the “bipartisan” thing, and switching to more typical attack-style politics now could work to give credence to one of the GOP’s favorite talking points: “He’s just a typical liberal politician!” Maybe I’m being naive, but I’d like to think that most voters will remember all this: the Republicans up to their usual obstructionist tricks, and Barry just brushing it off and staying calm and consistent.

CuntryFirst February 19, 2009 at 2:47 am

The liberal media will stop at nothing to defame Republicans. I’m sure he just gave the guy a little poke.

gjdodger February 19, 2009 at 3:16 am

Maybe next he’ll kill the incumbent Mayor–”Doll Shoots Skeet”

Bearbloke February 19, 2009 at 3:39 am

It’s not illegal if ReThuglicans do it…

Brendan M. February 19, 2009 at 3:54 am

All of you guys complaining that Obama is no different than Bush and is a spectacular failure, repeat after me: We Are. Sofa King. We Todd Ed. Again. And faster.

I couldn’t agree more.

BetterDaysAreComing February 19, 2009 at 5:18 am

Yes, what is wrong with this slacker Obama? He’s been in office almost a month and has yet to accomplish everything everyone wants him to do. He’s accomplished more productive things in one month than Junior did in eight years. And, most amazing of all, he seems to actually have a clue about what he’s doing.

Cape Clod February 19, 2009 at 7:22 am

SayItWithWookies: I bet the guy was a political rival who had to be elimated. It was probably more like Richard III.

BobLoblawLawBlog February 19, 2009 at 7:30 am

That guy who beheaded his wife should be his running-mate! Hooray for the tone-deaf GOP! Also.

El Pinche February 19, 2009 at 8:05 am

A conviction is a Republican Ph.D.

Bruno February 19, 2009 at 8:09 am

Corfu is one of those towns whose primary income comes from artificially low, suddenly changing and ill-marked speed limits, and the cops who thrive in such environments

hockeymom February 19, 2009 at 8:24 am

Take a left at Santorini, go straight past Rhodes and then you’ll be in Corfu. Don’t forget to try the olives, they’re delicious!

glamourdammerung February 19, 2009 at 8:28 am

And yet another Republican more qualified for Vice President than Sarah Palin.

CivicHoliday February 19, 2009 at 8:51 am

60 votes is 60 votes. we don’t got ‘m so we have to appease at least a few of the asshats. plus in order to have any shot at maintaining high enough approval ratings to get health care reforms passed, Barry has to appear as if he gives a shit what the other side has to say about things. he plays the game pretty well. not jeebus level, but pretty well.

freakishlystrong February 19, 2009 at 9:04 am

Well, seeing that he’s a GOOPer and all, he probably bludgeoned him with teh stoopid…

oldguy February 19, 2009 at 9:23 am

Psilage – it isn’t a sex crime YET. Remember, the secret of great comedy is …….. spelling. no, uh. jeesum crow…. oh yea. timing.

I challenge anyone here to say bludgeon ten times and not smile.

Have a gop day.

Edywin: In Arkansas, you can bring your bludgeon to church!

2goats February 19, 2009 at 9:46 am

Late Winter, Upstate New York, you goota make allowances.

snideinplainsight February 19, 2009 at 9:58 am

I consider the appearance of Corfu in the national news to be a clear sign of the apocalypse. Corfu and Clarence Center, both in one week! What’s next? Farmersville Station? Java Center? Hardy’s Corners? Oramel? Horseheads? Lost Nation?

Come here a minute February 19, 2009 at 10:07 am

snideinplainsight: What about Groton?

snideinplainsight February 19, 2009 at 10:32 am

It’s the stone-cold killa look in his eyes tho, that’s what makes him electable!

Take a look – follow the link! Would you leave your beloved upstate village or hamlet alone with this guy?

Mr Blifil February 19, 2009 at 11:59 am

First rule of Bludgeon Club: Don’t talk about Bludgeon Club.

TeddyS February 19, 2009 at 12:44 pm

He will appear on a stage with his wife, blame the liberal media for invading his privacy with their reporting, and vow to oversee a smaller government, lower taxes, more guns and true Christian American family values. He has obtained the endorsement of Joe the Plumber and will win by a landslide.

Lascauxcaveman February 19, 2009 at 12:45 pm

[re=246809]Lionel Hutz Esq.[/re]: Republicans are all about the handguns. Nothing is justified unless it was justified with a Mac 10.

You’re absolutely right, of course. Bludgeoning someone to death is a sissy, girly way to go. The MAC 10 is much more manly and straightforward.

karenology February 19, 2009 at 2:15 pm

On a non-political note, I just love the random idiots they interview for these local news type stories:
“K&K Manager Betsy Almeter said she didn’t know the suspect or the victim, but she’s at the store every day and could have waited on either one of them.

“It’s kind of creepy,” she said.”

I know absolutely nothing, but you can quote me on that!

Corfu - native February 20, 2009 at 2:36 pm

Doll (pronounced Dohl), so the comment about wife’s name being “barbie” sort of loses it’s punch!

Corfu is not upstate NY. It is Western NY located approx. 35-50 miles east of Buffalo, NY and Niagara Falls, Canada.
Let me also mention that the town is quite small but falls directly between Buffalo and Rochester, NY. Not so much of a “East Bumfuck” town that it should be considered the epitimoe of backwards, dumb-ass, slow witted, republicans that can’t even pull off a murder.

You might want to research the current Democratic incumbent Mayor. While he has not been charged with any recent Bludgeon incidents, most likely because he is always too drunk to actually hurt anyone, he is also not the most savvy political candidate, if you look hard enough I’m sure you could come up with your sex scandals under this one.

But on the up side, most intelligent people usually move away from the town and pursue their careers in other upstanding towns. Probably the towns where most of you are from :)

It is unfortunate that
