JOE WILSON, AMERICA’S MOST PROMISING NEW INTERNET MEME, HAS APOLOGIZED FOR BEING SO SHOUTY AND WEIRD: “This evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the President’s remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill. While I disagree with the President’s statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the President for this lack of civility.” Google has already shut this human down until further notice. [CNN]

CNN had the greatest split image of Wilson and Obama giving Wilson the look – and what a look it was! It looked like Obama was going to go medieval on Wilson’s ass.

Also, how fail are the Republicans that the only thing they can do now is yell “liar!” after being stated a fact?

“The earth is round!” “You lie!”
“1 + 1 = 2!” “You lie!”

Epic fail, Republicans. Epic, epic fail.

He should apologize for besmirching the good name of the other Joe Wilson.

The rest of America would really f*cking appreciate it if you took a few hours of the day to get even the slightest clue about what you are doing with that power. Instead, when you act like schoolchildren, we can only assume you are intellectually incapable of grasping the position you are in and that gives the rest of us a serious sad, because you are in jerrymandered districts full of olds and people who take marching orders from Young Earthers and are hence hopeless.

Y’all don’t know the half of it about the tiny gene pool. They’re Proud of it; in fact, it’s how they perpetuate their “way of life.” Here in my pastoral, deep South hamlet of Pissant Point, you’re nobody unless your parents were double first cousins. All the local royalty have interchangeable, inbred names like Dick Bushey, Bushey Head, Bushey Dick, Head Dick, and Dick Head. The local leaders are down to a collective IQ of around 40, because you don’t have a prayer of winning an election unless your mother and father were twins. They’d like this health care thing more if it included more support for inbreeding.

[re=407718]Fox News Light[/re]: Oh dear–I have to tell you that like Jesus, you have befriended, and been befriend by, the poor.

Of course, if you had befriended the rich, they wouldn’t help you either. Isn’t it a bitch how that turns out?

[re=407629]Gun-toting Progressive[/re]: Funny sense of humor, those parents of Addison Graves Cock Cancer “Joe” Wilson, Sr. And it indicates that there’s an Addison Graves Cock Cancer “Joe” Wilson, Jr. out there, too. But it tells you that in addition to hating the Mexicans, just how long his family’s been into health care issues.

The mystery I want solved is who was the brave patriot who can clearly be heard saying “Throw him out” during Obama’s few seconds of incredibly disappointed silence?

[re=407560]Monsieur Grumpe[/re]: Barnwell County hates the olds! The Gail Reyes Senior Cooling Station is only open until 2 p.m. and not on weekends at all!!! Why do they want to kill old people???

[re=407544]ummm[/re]: Chuck Schumer got beat up in the Senate, in the 1800′s? I didn’t know that.

Also, people can use this url to keep checking back to see when Wilson’s web site is back up.

Google only shut the front door. You can reach Tourette syndrome victim Joe Wilson here and let him know you sympathize with his plight: http://www.house.gov/formwilson/IMA/issue.htm

[re=407701]liquiddaddy[/re]: YES. And of course, all this only creates distracting drama- so that we don’t keep focusing on the REASON for the speech in the first place. He “let his emotions get the better of him”?? REALLY? Because I’m pretty sure every member of congress got an advanced copy of the speech. Calculated.

[re=407698]teebob2000[/re]: Okay, so I just got back from my doc. I’m trying to imagine this the check in at the window. “Do you have a new insurance card?” Me: Yes, here. “And a birth certificate, passport, social security card, and green card please?” Me: WTF?

It’s not the border f*cking patrol, it’s a doctor’s office. The nice lady at the desk cares about two things: You gots an insurance card or you gots method of payment. How will that change under a system that requires insurance companies to not deny you a contract based on pre-existing conditions? Or even if the program *gasp* allows a public option. If the public option office gives you coverage and a card, then shouldn’t they have checked who the hell you were? I, personally, don’t want my doc’s staff having to f*ck around with checking patients’ citizenship documentation. That’s totally nuts.

Addison Graves Wilson, Sr. is a devil worshiping, child molesting, gramdma feltching, piece of road debris, bless his heart.

[re=407625]PinkyTuscadero[/re]: As much as I pick on the Bad Carolina, this guano-filled diaper of crazy is my congresshole. So yeah, I fucking concur with your last point.

As to picking on the south, I don’t worry much about that; I roll my eyes at the same bullshit KO et. al. do, and don’t think they’re pointing at me personally when they do that. And really, most people who would take umbrage at that have already climbed up to the top of a building in their town square and screamed “THE PRESIDENT IS A NI-” already, and who gives a good goddamn what those sister-fucking idiots think, about anything?

Really, I think of it as a remarkably benign attempt to shame those who still have shame into joining the current century. I say benign because I grew up here and my answer would be to load these sorry motherfuckers onto 757s and shove them out over the middle of the Atlantic, about 40,000 feet up at 500 mph. Being unconscious, they wouldn’t learn anything on the way down, but then again they weren’t going to learn anything no matter what.
