Another Day of the Patriarchy
First off, let’s get things straight (so to speak).
I’m filling in for the day on the nation’s top political gossip blog the day after the nation’s top blogger spent his day here. Intimidation factor is at an all-time high.
I’m one of the lucky folks who gets to fill in the time here between the tenures of two of my favorite bloggers: Ana Marie Cox and David Lat. I am unbelievably grateful for the opportunity, and hope to live up to their high standards for low humor.
The good news is that, like Ms. Cox, I enjoy pouring myself a good stiff drink (with breakfast). Also, like David, I am a young lawyer, so hopefully I’ll be giving you a taste of what it’s like to have a guy with a J.D. in the blogger’s seat here at Wonkette.
And even if you hate lawyers, we’re still not the Note.
