Okay, listen. I'm just a Canadian joe up here. But isn't it really fucked-up for Bush to ask that Congress ratify something declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court of his own Country?
Doesn't that directly challenge the power and function of the judicial branch of your Government?
Or am I just drunk? Someone? Anyone?

Hey AXA-
My understanding is that the Supremes didn't declare military tribunals unconstitutional per se; they just said that the President didn't have the authority to set them up himself in the absence of any legislation defining said tribunals or giving the President the right to do so. Congress is in the process of making the whole thing nice and legal even as we speak.
