For the Record: Ken Mehlman Likes the Bubbly
Yesterday we posted this photo of RNC chair Ken Mehlman, dancing up a storm at the Bloomberg afterparty:
We noted that Mehlman’s decision “to dance while holding a beer” was “tres frat boy,” calling into question the rumors about Mehlman’s, um, dancing ability.
Alas, this observation was erroneous. The tipster who took the picture just informed us: “That’s not a beer, that’s a glass of champagne.”
We apologize to our readers for this mistake. We apologize to Mehlman for this correction — which will probably cause him another six months of difficulties.

Not so sure about dispelling rumors here. I thought the general rule of thumb was that the gays dance with their hands over their heads, and straight boys kind of shuffle with their hands at their sides?
That's been my experience, anyway at Cherry Jubilee, Blue Ball, and The White Party (the gay one, not the GOP).
Exactly what I thought when I saw the photo as well, Skip, although the pointed fingers throw you off the trail, harkening back to the days of Travolta and a white suit. Perhaps he was chanting "the roof! the roof! the roof is on fire!" while doing it?

I acutally think he was about to "shoot" those six shooters at the guy standing in front of him, then circle his hand over his head like he's swinging a lasso, and then "rope in" himself some Grade A man meat.

K-Mehl dancing a little light in his loafers? No way.
he's mackin' hard on that shorty in front of him with the backless cocktail dress. he's pointing up in the air describing his downtown loft/love nest: "...and in the master bedroom, there are mirrors mounted on the ceiling. one there, and one there."
