Egggate: White House Lawn to Remain Gay-Free Until 11
Hardest ticket in town, folks.
So are all the gay families just standing outside the gates watching this? Anyone been down there? They didn’t quite make it in with the rest, it looks like:
This year, at the last minute, for the first time, the policy for distributing tickets to the White House Easter Egg Roll has changed, with the families waiting outside all night to get opening time tickets receiving tickets with an entrance time of 11AM or later — after the cameras have rolled for the opening ceremonies of the event, because the egg roll is slated for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m, according to the White House press release.
We’re just amazed it took them until the last minute to think of a way to screw over the queers, frankly. We woulda been kinda worried if they’d let ‘em in without incident. On the other hand, though, in what media market is the White House egg roll interrupting your normal broadcast day? It’s 45 seconds at the end of the morning news, at most. But add a 100 gay families, even if they’re not letting them in with the breeders, and you got yourself two minutes and an analysis in tomorrow’s Post.
And hey, can’t you guys get this God of yours to make it quit raining?

I walked by the line for the Egg Roll at 7pm on Friday. Some mothers at the back of the line were discussing "the special place in Hell" for gay families. It goes without saying that they had hilariously strong Southern accents.
We need another Civil War.

Rude Kentuckians may deserve a good poking-fun-at, but I don't quite think they raise the Civil-War-Threat-Level anywhere past orange. So simmer down.

Sorry Chris. I'm with Rusty on this one. I think all the creative class states (that's the ones with the ideas -- and the gays!) should just leave those red states behind. And by behind, I mean in the 16th century or wherever they get their ideas from. It'll be like a civil war inspired by Atlas Shrugged, so we should have the Libertarians on our side as well.

Uhmm... look, that's cute 1974 (the Libertarians might take issue with your Nanny State, but you guys can duke that out later). But... do you really want a Red State vs. Blue State civil war? I have a hard time seeing Tofu-eating SoHo residents outflanking the Virginia 29th Infantry Regiment. Maybe the Malibu Militia could build a slingshot to lob their Priuses or something.

We Blue Staters could hire all of the illegals that the Red Staters want to deport to fight our war for us. They know how to dodge bullet-shooting, racist, 16th-century minded fanatics.
Besides, on their own, the Red States could afford a war for what... about two weeks? Hard to bankroll a battle when you need massive federal handouts like Mississippi or West Virginia just to stay economically afloat. They can thank the high-tax paying gays of New York and Mass.
