Congratulations to Patrick Murphy, the first candidate endorsed by Wonkette to actually win something (after his endorsement, anyway). It may have helped that he’s funny, not crazy, like most other Wonkette endorsees.

Mr. Murphy won his Pennsylvania county’s Democratic Committee endorsement for the 8th US Congressional District, and he’ll go on to face someone we’ve never heard of and can’t remember for the seat this November. We probably won’t be following this race as closely as the ones involving people we’re related to, but as long as the sarcastic press releases keep coming, we’ll support him.

We are 100% certain that our support is what put Murphy over the edge into victory against some other guy we haven’t heard of and can’t remember.
