More Random Goss Speculation
The connection between Mitchell Wade and Porter Goss is so open and obvious that it’s ridiculous how long it took to be brought up. But we hear the Post has some sort of exclusive (whaddya you wanna bet it’ll mention Wade but not hookers) coming up tonight. We’re guessing it’ll be something like: “Porter Goss got lots of money from Brent Wilkes and then promoted his unqualified friend and refused to fire him,” which we already knew. If it’s about the Watergate (and Westin) cards-‘n’-hookers parties, we’ll be fucking THRILLED. There’s always the chance that physical evidence linking Goss to the Watergate parties has turned up — like Ken Silverstein’s photos, for example.
Anyway, at least one head will roll at the Pentagon and this spells a weird trip back to the headlines for Katherine Harris. And not for her physical attributes. If you’re on the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, don’t answer your phone for a while.

In fairness to Porter Goss, it should be noted that he has a shitpot of money -- some of which he earned the hard way --i.e., he married it.
Goss hardly needs to accept hookers from a contractor -- he could buy several whorehouses in Las Vegas without breaking a sweat.
Besides, old spies like Goss have a strong --learned --aversion to honey traps. They're more likely to stick their pecker in a high speed Cuisinart than be caught out in this fashion.

Please, please, please....if there are incriminating photos of this man, I don't want to see them. The mere idea of an amourous Porter Goss is enough to send a sane woman to a convent.

The most hilariously stupid comment made about this event so far is Glenn Reynolds' solemn statement over on Instapundit.com that "You'd think that someone with hooker issues wouldn't pass the security clearance"
Ha ha ha. If they fired intelligence officers for illicit sex, Washington would look like a neutron bomb hit it. And I say that as someone who has had up to 4 SCI clearances.
