The New York Times did some super-excellent journalism in Sunday’s magazine: an honest to God 14-page article (complete with an interactive map!) that details the eating, drinking, fornicating, and even religious habits of the 20-somethings who work in the Obama administration. As it is our job to tell you what to do in DC, as [...]

Two new bakeries are headed to the 14th and U neighborhood, and, this, according to some, means 14th and U is the new 18th and Columbia! Who wouldn’t want to be associated with crime, crowded streets, and large slices of pizza?! But if bakeries are a sign that you’ve made it, we thought we’d take [...]

On the corner of 7th St. NW and Florida Ave. NW, in the parking lot of the CVS, there is a makeshift photo booth where you can get your photo taken against the backdrop of a Cadillac, a grandiose staircase, Outer Space or a bottle of Ciroc vodka. Your Wonkette wasn’t going to take a [...]

Winter will end, one day, and when it does, you should go to Tabaq’s rooftop lounge to enjoy the lovely weather. The whole bar is wrapped in glass, with a retractable roof (!) they close in case of rain. Don’t let the stout buildings of its U Street locale fool you; Tabaq has one of [...]
