Al Franken tackled a heckler at a Dean rally because, he said, "I'm for freedom of speech." We love his definition of freedom of speech. It goes something like this: "Shut the fuck up, asshole." We look forward the new line of ACLU gags and brass knuckles. For what it's worth, Franken said that this particularly strict constructionist view of constitutional law applies across the Democratic field: "I would have done it if he was a Dean supporter at a Kerry rally." But would he have done it at a Bush rally? What about a LaRouche rally? Could you tell who the hecklers were at a LaRouche rally?
This brings us to our next point: The guy Franken tackled was a LaRouchie, who probably shouldn't have been allowed out of the home without his tin-foil hat on, anyway. LaRouchies are also notoriously easy to tackle; they pitch their center of gravity high in order to compensate for the flatness of the Earth.
