Berger Probed About Pants Issue
We applaud Clinton National Security Adviser Sandy Berger's honesty. He has admitted taking handwritten notes and actual documents out of the National Archives, and he didn't even wait that long until after he was caught to do so. Last night, Berger said that he "inadvertently" took classified documents from the Archives. Oops! He also said that he "knowingly removed the handwritten notes by placing them in his jacket and pants." Well, you kind of have to 'fess up in that case. It's hard to make anyone believe that you can stick something in your pantsby accident. . . and, oh, we've tried, we've tried.
