Bush Not Needed in Emergencies
At today's presser, inquiring minds were asking why President Bush wasn't told about yesterday's White House attack scare and mass evacuation until "about 36 minutes after the all-clear had been sent." Press secretary Scott McClellan's response? He wasn't really needed, because, really, it wasn't that big a deal. The news of which, we're thinking, must've had Saddam Hussein slapping his forehead pretty hard yesterday. Had he only thought to warehouse his WMDs in small unidentified airplanes speeding toward the White House, it might've never occured to the Bush Administration that he was a growing, imminent threat.— GREG BEATO
