We have no choice: We have to comment on the bizzare sex scandal enveloping the house of Sen. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.). Oh, for the days when Norm's biggest worry was getting schooled by a half-Scot half-cat mutant hybrid.

Norm Coleman Sr., the father of Minnesota's junior senator, was cited for lewd and disorderly conduct Tuesday after police officers reported finding him engaged in a sex act in a car near a pizzeria on E. 7th St. in St. Paul.

A police report said officers were called to Savoy Inn about 6:30 p.m to investigate a report that two people were having sex in a car. The police report stated a woman, Patrizia Marie Schrag, 38, also was cited for lewd and disorderly conduct.

Wait... ok, we've been e-mailed this story about five thousand times, but when you write it down that doesn't sound so bad. They were in a car? The only creepy bit is the 43 year age gap, and even that's not so creepy. If we must be buffetted with Norm Coleman news, better this than that UN "food from oil" or "oil in my food" or whatever the hell that scandal was.
