Congressional Catfight: Will Pelosi Upset McKinney?
Going into Thursday night, the Congressional Catfight between Nancy Pelosi and Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) is perilously close. Right now, Pelosi is actually leading McKinney, 51.8 percent to 48.2 percent -- a margin of around 100 votes, out of over 2500 cast. Could we have an upset on our hands?
We feel slightly guilty, since our initial write-up of the fight may have favored Pelosi. We mentioned her underdog status, comparing her to the George Mason basketball team, and we linked to an article about her ability to play hardball in the House.
So, to even things out, here's a little reminder about Cynthia McKinney's toughness: SHE PUNCHED A FUCKING COP, PEOPLE. There's a reason she's the top seed.
