DJs In Mouse Costumes, Punk Rock Family Reunion Show

News

  • Friday, April 3: If you like Justice and Daft Punk, you might be interested in Sebastien Tellier, who also hails from France and is essential to the French dance circuit. He will be bringing his beautiful, piano-laced electro music to the 9:30 Club. 10PM. [MySpace]
  • Saturday, April 4: Berklee College of Music-trained jazz trombonist Reginald Cyntje will be performing at Twins Jazz with his quartet. Note: Twins Jazz is super small, so don't even think about arriving fashionably late to this thing, because then you won't get a seat. [Twins Jazz]
  • Sunday, April 5: Now-defunct (or "dormant" as their MySpace says) punk record label D.S.I. is having a Punk Rock Family Reunion show at the Jammin Java Cafe. Performers include Dark Self Image, Bullhead, Malefice and 7 other bands, plus an appearance from a Minor Threat band member. It sounds like a lot crammed into one night, but you have to remember that punk songs don't last more than like, two minutes. 7PM. [Jammin Java]
  • Sunday, April 5: Nine local singer-songwriters are getting together for a night of music spanning all genres, from Southern rock to indie. 8PM, at the Iota Club and Cafe. [MySpace]
  • Tuesday, April 7: Your Wonkette is constantly dissing house music, but deadmau5 is the exception -- he's one of the world's best DJs. And he'll be playing in his giant mouse head as usual. 8PM. [9:30]
