F--- You, W.
Ron Suskind has released some of the original documents that informed his portrait of Paul O'Neill's time at the White House. They paint a picture of an administration torn by petty slights and divided over serious policy questions. O'Neill himself comes across a abrasive, opinionated, and endearingly Liebermanesque.
Handwriting in this note to National Economic Council chairman Larry Lindsey reads: "Larry: This is bureaucratic chicken----. You must have something better to do with your time than send me memos such as this one."
How much do we love it that he actually wrote the dashes out? We love it a whole fucking lot.
