French Give Michael Moore Freedom Kiss
Drudge has the scoop on the reaction of audiences to Michael Moore's new movie, saying that "Fahrenheit 9-11" got a twenty minute standing ovation, and quoting "Cannes stalwart Thierry Fremaux," that "This is the longest stading ovation in the history of the festival! Unbelievable!" Drudge gives a thumbnail review as well: "Movie shows video of U.S. soldiers laughing as they place hoods over Iraqi detainees, with one of them grabbing a prisoner's genitals through a blanket."
Yeah, the French really loved that bit when Jerry Lewis did it, too. But this is special. Usually, they only stand up that long to surrender.
