Here's some fun news from our neighbors in Virginia: A brand-new firefighting boat sank last night for no reason at all, tied up at the dock and never used once. We are pretty sure there is a bigger symbolic meaning to this stupid story.
The fire boat was found ass-up in the river this morning in Newport News. It hadn't even been officially turned over to the fire department. The AP reports that the department "has two other boats that can be used to fight fires on the water, but they don't have the capabilities or technology of the new vessel."
On the plus side, the older boats DON'T SPONTANEOUSLY SINK.
