In 2000, the Democratic National Convention featured more than four dozen speakers from the Golden State...from former Governor Gray Davis to the dirty little Mayor of Los Angeles, Dick Riordan, Californians took center stage in Los Angeles. Despite the State's lower profile at DNC '04, State Treasurer Phil Angiledes still thinks Cali has some hidden strengths:
"...we are the biggest delegation. We are the big dog at the convention."
I think I'll want to see some empirical evidence for that assertion...
