MACACA INCIDENT OVER, WE WERE FOOLS TO DOUBT YOU, GEORGE ALLEN
What would we do without Alan Colmes' evenhandedness?
Thank God for Alan "Cool Hand" Colmes, who just saved us from further embarassment by settling the "macaca" debate last night onHannity & Colmes:
HANNITY: And finally tonight, liberal Democrat James Webb's Senate campaign has accused the junior senator, George Allen, of making negative comments to a web campaign volunteer. The volunteer, a 20-year-old University of Virginia student of Indian descent, had been following Senator Allen with a video camera to record his speeches for a Web campaign. On Friday, Allen addressed the Web volunteer.
(VIDEO CLIP)
HANNITY: The student told the Washington Post that he thinks Allen singled him out because he was the only non-white person in the crowd. Allen's campaign manager, Dick Waddens, told the paper that the senator has, quote, "nothing to apologize for." He said that Allen's comments, "Welcome to America" is not an insult but meaning welcome to the real world. Welcome to Virginia. Waddens also claims Mukaka (ph) was a variation of the word Mohawk. The senator was referring to the young staffer's hair cut. Now, Webb is not going to do well in the campaign. A pure sign of politically correct desperation.
COLMES: That word means Mohawk. And the guy, by the way, is a native Virginian. He's from Fairfax County.
HANNITY: Webb is desperate.
HOW COULD WE HAVE BEEN SO BLIND TO THE TRUTH?????
