Maine GOP Legislator: It's A Man's Man's Man's Brain Thing And You Wouldn't Understand

Manly sort of readers: do you ever think about just how hard it is to communicate with ladies? You with your big, enormous, throbbing, rational brain putting up with these ladies and their feelings and their incessant need to get free stuff because of those feelings? Maine GOP Leader Ken Fredettethinks about this a lot. Why? Because Obamacare, duh:

A top Maine Republican took to the House floor Wednesday to explain how his “man’s brain” can’t get behind Obamacare’s federal funding for Medicaid expansion because he is concerned about costs.

It is so sad that ladies can't think of the monies, and that heavy lifting is left to big strong brains like that of Mr. Ken Fredette. Oh well. He's probably got a really scientific expl....he's basing it on Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus? Hrmm. What is the opposite of scientific? That is what that book is, Mr. Ken Fredette. Let's give him another shot to explain how boys are different from girls:

"From the other side of the aisle I hear the conversation being about 'free this is free, we need to take it and it's free and we need to do it now' and that's sort of the fundamental message that my brain receives," said Fredette. "Now, my brain being a man's brain sort of thinks differently, because I say, well, it's not if it's free is it really free because I say in my brain there's a cost to this."

So true! Women with their flouncy pink petticoats and tiny little brains will never understand that health care costs money, because for ladies health care just falls from the sky like a gentle rain. Only men, with their rock-hard brains, can figure out that health care isn't free. Only men, with their diamond-tipped minds, can come up with the amazing amalgam of poetry and logic that is "if it's free is it really free because I say in my brain there's a cost to this." Ladies, just give up now. Go home to your doilies and your bubble baths and...whatever other lady things you do to fill the day, we guess? Because you'll never grasp the complex concept that things cost money. Run along, and don't worry your pretty little tiny-brained heads.
