NAFTA Talk Started With Hillary
Ha ha, remember how Hillary Clinton said that Barack Obama's people shouldn't go privately blabbing to the Canadian government about how they didn't really want to renegotiate NAFTA? It turns out that Clinton's campaign may have been guilty of the same RANK BACK-DOOR HYPOCRISY AND SHENANIGANS that the American people are so sick of they will vote for John McCain, who got all that out of his system in the 80s.
In a chat with several journalists on February 26, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper's chief of staff, Ian Brodie, said one of Senator Clinton's people had assured diplomats that the rhetoric over NAFTA was just for show.
"He said someone from (Hillary) Clinton's campaign is telling the embassy to take it with a grain of salt. . . That someone called us and told us not to worry," one source told The Canadian Press.
Somehow this turned into rumors about Obama's own staff talking secretly to Canada, which of course they also were. So, basically, odious true rumors bluffed Obama into admitting he was doing something that Clinton was also doing. The question is, why has John McCain not engaged in secret negotiations with the Polar Mexicans? Is he too much of a pussy?
