Native Americans: Not as Backwards as You Thought!
The WP manages to give this photo a caption that really captures the general tone the paper's coverage of the new Native American museum: "Talking on his cell phone as he waits to enter the new museum, Jimmy Goins from North Carolina seems almost an anachronism." As an eagle-eyed Wonkette operative commented, "Yeah, you'd think he'd be sending up smoke signals or something. It's a wonder that Indians have figured out how to use cell phones. It seems like only yesterday they were getting the hang of rifles." But what we really appreciate about American Indians is their deep connection to the Mother Earth, or, as they call it, "maize."
