This ought to go well. Since the NYPD is still feeling most butthurt indeed that Mayor Bill de Blasio hasn't yet fired his black son or burned his wife's wardrobe, some of the city's finest are looking to other sources for advice on building better relations with the black community. Or at least in the case of the Sergeants Benevolent Association, the NYPD sergeants' union, they met last week in Washington DC with several "national African-American leaders," including Alveda King, Martin Luther King's rightwing niece, and E.W. Jackson, the former Virginia lieutenant-governor candidate who's OK with segregation, believes that Planned Parenthood has been worse for the black community than the KKK, and that the 3/5 compromise was a pretty good thing since it at least gave slaves some political recognition. No, we did not make that up. Did we mention he's a Republican?

So while the sergeants may or may not be getting any insight into improving relations with the black community, they've at least had the chance to meet a black man who'll tell them what they want to hear, which is that law enforcement is the greatest bunch of heroes ever, and they are the only thing standing between civilization and complete anarchy. And like most NYPD cops, Jackson is no fan of liberals like Mayor de Blasio. Among his greatest hits, he's said that

liberalism and their ideas have done more to kill black folks whom they claim so much to love than the Ku Klux Klan, lynching and slavery and Jim Crow ever did, now that’s a fact.

So that ought to help the NYPD get a clearer sense of who the enemy is, as should Bishop Jackson's insistence that the greatest threat to civilization is, of course the gheys. He has explained in the past that homosexuality is quite bad indeed because "it poisons culture, it destroys families, it destroys societies; it brings the judgment of God unlike very few things that we can think of." He also believes that homosexuality is "killing black men by the thousands," which certainly puts the occasional chokehold death in perspective.

While no details of Jackson's meeting with the Sergeants Benevolent Association have leaked, we're betting he had some helpful advice for how to improve relations with people of color in New York. For instance, while administering a choke hold, it might be useful for police to casually observe, "This is nothing have you ever considered the stranglehold that the Democrat party has on the black electorate. When will they free themselves for the Democrat plantation?" And if any details of the meeting do emerge, we're not entirely certain we'll be able to report on them, as Bishop Jackson believes, like Kirby Delauter, that it's probably illegal to quote anything he says in his capacity as a minister, because the Constitution says so.
