Oh Byron Dorgan, Get Over Yourself And Run Again
You wouldn't think so, considering the politics back home in North Dakota (RED), but Byron Dorgan's a pretty good senator! All you have to do to be considered a "pretty good senator" nowadays is have like three or four rad YouTubes, and he does, so huzzah. Here's a famous one from the late '90s when he was a lead voice against the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which passed anyway and essentially allowed opaque hedge funds to set up shop in-house at Citibank, Bank of America, and other major commercial banks, all of which proceeded to UM YEAH DEFAULT.
You know how hard it is to elect a non-incumbent Democrat in North Dakota, especially in a miserable midterm anti-Democrat atmosphere? Just put your pants back on, Dorgan, and run for reelection after all, JESUS.
Do you even see what kinds of hilarious candidates your party leaders are considering now, in this desperate situation? Seriously. This is happening right now. This could be the best solution Democrats have in North Dakota, with you out of the race:
A top ND Dem has asked MSNBC host Ed Schultz to return to his native state and run for Senate, Schultz said today.
In an interview on MSNBC, where he hosts a nightly program, Schultz said he got a call from state Rep. Merle Boucher (D), the House Min. Leader, asking him to consider a bid. Schultz said he had worked hard to get where he was in his career, but he refused to rule out a bid.
"I'm flattered. I'm honored. I can't say that I'm even considering it right now," Schultz said. "I'm in a different place right now. So we're a long way from any kind of consideration."
Why does Byron Dorgan hate America?
