I think what they're missing in all this is how trying to understand racism is literally, actually forbidden by law in Florida universities, while trying to understand WW2... isn't? So, sure, asking the hard questions about "Was Churchill more evil than literal Hitler," might get you kicked out of dinner parties, and it might even result in the Martha's Vineyard library declining to extend you an invitation to do a reading from your latest book (they're woke like that) but on the scale of "more forbidden" I think I would argue that the one that is literally against the law is "more forbidden" than the one that gets you written up in Wonkette as a jackass.
