BUT...on our way home from the pub tonight, our Uber driver (sounded Eastern European) noticed my American accent and asked what I thought of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. I nearly cried, describing how much I love both of them. I said I'm from Minnesota (like Walz) and he said he'd been to Minnesota last year to visit his brother, who now lives there, and loved it. He said he's soooo happy about the Democrat ticket for this election, he loves Kamala and he's watched Tim Walz and thinks their election to the White House would be the greatest thing to happen to the world since Obama, and that having trump back in office would be "the end of the world."
He got a £3 tip.
