We don't get to pick who the EC members are and they aren't bound by the popular vote of their state. Also, the really obvious point that a man with 46% of the vote of actual voters got 57% of the EC.

When I said, "We voted for them", I meant that every vote for Drumpf was a vote for an elector from the Republican Party. Sorry that wasn't clear.

How the electors are chosen varies from state to state; but if you're an Independent, you're probably SOL when it comes to having a voice in selecting them.

Don't misunderstand me: The College is a vestige of horse-and-buggy times, and I fail to see its usefulness in a time when we can communicate cross-country instantaneously.
