Ridge Taps God for Homeland Security Duty
Tom Ridge unveils a Spanish-language homeland security campaign starring guardian angels. We wonder if this is supposed to be comforting: They are, after all, dead people. What's more, they speak in riddles, tossing off these lines in the companion TV campaign:
Ojos que no ven, corazón que no siente or "Eyes that don't see; heart that can't feel anything."
Camarón que se duerme, se lo lleva la corriente or "The shrimp that falls asleep, the current drags away."
We feel safer already.
