Rove Book May Snag $3 Million
How much is the final payout for being one of the most despised men in the Bush White House? Around $3 million. The bidding for former White House senior advisor Karl Rove's memoirs kicks off today. "It will sell for millions, but how many millions is the question," one potential publisher said.
"It's going to be an interesting auction, he's smart and he's capable of moving beyond the cliches," the publisher told the New York Post , predicting $3 million sale.
So far, Rove has met with HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster and Random House.
Washington attorney Robert Barnett, who recently got Ted Kennedy $8 million for his memoir, is repping the deal.
