Stephen Colbert Finally Gets To Bundy Story As It Goes South...And Picks Cotton (Video)
After Jon Stewart spent a good chunk of the week on the Cliven Bundy story (and feuding with Sean Hannity), it's a little surprising to see that The Colbert Report didn't touch it until Thursday, after the right's new darling shared his thoughts on the negro. (Then again, both shows were on break last week.) Still, this gave Colbert the chance to nicely wrap everything up, from his faux-wingnut perspective. Sure, Cliven Bundy didn't pay grazing fees for twenty years because he doesn't recognize the U.S. Government, but that's logically consistent, says Colbert: "OK, you can't pay a government if it doesn't exist. Especially not with the money that it issued."
Doktor Zoom's real name is Marty Kelley, and he lives in the wilds of Boise, Idaho. He is not a medical doctor, but does have a real PhD in Rhetoric. You should definitely donate some money to this little mommyblog where he has finally found acceptance and cat pictures. He is on maternity leave until 2033. Here is his Twitter, also. His quest to avoid prolixity is not going so great.
