The Aftermath: Wonkette Editors Make Magic-Psychic Lies
At 4:21 p.m. Tuesday, we got sick of how nobody would send us leaked exit polls and made up our own. Let's see how a make-believe "data set" stands up to the actual (?) results at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. We said:
* Dems take 27 new seats and House majority.
* Dems pick up 5 Senate seats.
* A Republican senator has already made the deal to go "independent" and vote with Dems, giving them the Senate.
It's too early to know just how right we were -- Virginia's still in play (Webb leads again), Montana is saying a long goodbye to Crazy Conrad Burns and there are Western House races that won't be settled until (at least) the hard light of Wednesday -- but at 2:23 a.m. the wires say the Dems picked up 25 House seats.
And this AP story from 2:20 a.m. says the Dems won four GOP Senate seats and are just about to officially win Montana.
Jesus Christ, we are Political Wizards. Can we be lobbyists or something now? You know, with all the money?
