The Note's Kindest Cut
Those wusses at ABC's silly "must read" political "news summary." Sure, The Note's got the length (6,611 words today) -- but as any girl will tell you, it's not how big you are, it's how you use what you have. And today, they totally went limp. According to our tipster, The Note's lead itemthis morningmade a semi-hilarious but totally justified reference to New York Congressman Anthony Weiner's fairly public love life:
"Thank goodness Howard Dean won't be our nominee -- he is a dead man walking. This is the loudest Democratic sigh of relief any of us have heard since Anthony Weiner got the news that the tests came back negative."
What does it read now?
"Thank goodness Howard Dean won't be our nominee — he is a dead man walking. This is the loudest Democratic sigh of relief any of us have heard in a while."
We can't prove anything, of course. But if true, what a disappointment! That's the fastest we've heard of anyone putting the good stuff back in their pants since the doors went back up on the House men's room stalls.

UPDATE: It's not a screenshot -- hell, our tipster could have typed it up himself -- but here's a fax of a printout of this morning's Note.
