Is President Bush a big meanie? A writer at Salon says yes:
- [Bush and I] were both at. . . [a] church picnic in Philadelphia, designed to help George W. Bush promote his faith-based policies . . . when I had the chance to shake Bush's hand, I said, "Mr. President, I'm very disappointed in your work so far. I hope you only serve four years."
His smiling response was swift: "Who cares what you think?"
But this is probably just another mix-up along the lines that reporter mishearing John Kerry say "foreign" leaders had endorsed him when really Kerry said "more" leaders. What could Bush have actually said? Something that sounds similar, sure. . . "Can I finish your drink?" or "Do bears skate in your rink?" or "Too fair, that kitchen sink."
Or maybe it was more like, "Fuck off, asshole." I always get those confused.
