It's official. Deep Throat's true identity was even less of a mystery than who killed Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Nora Ephron, Robert Novak, Tom Brokaw, and every other Washington D.C. insider knew, all along, that Mark Felt was Deep Throat. In fact, the only person who didn't know, it seems, was Felt's attorney John D. O'Connor, who apparently spent three years researching and verifying his client's story before writing Felt's coming-out piece for Vanity Fair. In other Deep Throat news, Ben Stein blames Felt, Bob Woodward and Ben Bradlee's actions "for the Cambodian genocide," and, we're guessing the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. We always knew OJ didn't do it! — GREG BEATO
