Tom Selleck has landed the roll of Eisenhower in an A&E movie about D-Day. Even Selleck was surprised: "Why me? I'm not sure I would be my first choice." We hate to break it to Tom, but we heard that he actually wasn't A&E's first choice. That would be Viggo Mortensen, with Oliver Stone set to direct -- you know, Ike hallucinating in the desert, Mamie popping pills, and, of course, a sweaty, prescient Nixon who schemes to put young JFK in the line of fire on Omaha beach. Didn't pan out, though. Congradulations, Tom.
