Will The Paultard Blimp Fail?
The Paultards are freaking , and it's not just because of the big spambot disclosure. The Paultard Blimp is supposed to fly Monday, Dec. 10 from Elizabeth City, NC, en route to an eventual "Tea Party" in Boston to coincide with their latest moneybomb on Dec. 16. They need, however, $200,000 in real money -- pledges, Liberty Dollars or Ameros won't cut it now -- by midnight on Friday in order to make the rental. Plus, there are all sorts legal entanglements and whatnot. For all of these reasons, Paultards are going mad mad MAD(DER than usual), and we'd like to document as much of it as possible.
According to the Paultard Blimp website, they've raised over $130,000 as of 1: 30 this afternoon, which leaves them... hmm... like 30-something hours to reach their mark. Over at Ron Paul Forums yesterday , the spambots were anxiously coming to grips with the importance of the blimp vis-a-vis media makefunnery:
And this Paultard knows precisely what will happen if they fail:
Truer words, Paultard MozoVote. Truer words.
Legal implications are also coming into play, and it's as yet unclear whether the law people will allow the would-be blimp to fly. I have like 10 more posts to write today, so for legal analysis , I turn the floor over to Commenter General Nick Farr.
But if they have the money and if it's legal, the blimp -- like most things in life -- is waiting:
What kind of person would fly in this thing anyway?
