World Bank Board 'Very Concerned,' Glad No One's Paying Attention Anymore
The World Bank board, which promised to make a decision about Shoeless Paul Wolfowitz soon, decided to put off having to decide anything for a while.
In an extraordinary chain of events, the 24 directors who govern the day-to-day workings of the bank and who represent different countries or clusters of countries convened Thursday to discuss Mr. Wolfowitz's fate and did not conclude their session until 1: 30 a.m. today.
And after all those deliberations, they realized that they still just wanted to continue stalling until someone could convince Paul to just step the fuck down.
