Republican David Brooks says “Republicans are intellectually unfit to govern,” but of course this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t vote for Jesus H. Maverick McCain if he says the right pile of bullsh*t.

Also, you must vote Republican because they saved us from 9/11 unlike those fag arugula Democrats who wanted to catch the people who did it instead of blowing up other countries, and since we’re going to get a city blowed up with an atom bomb, you know we need Republicans.

Oh. I’m really depressed.

I should probably stop looking at Gallup…

The EMPEROR is desperate. He is now resorting
to the politics of personal destruction and
character assassination to claim, what he

Now I can go back to sleep. It was only a

Why does Hopey hate America?

Aren’t the summer interns done? First the Jobs obit and now this?

Sometimes it works out nicely. White House accidentally emails that Maliki supports Obama’s Iraq withdrawal plan. . .

What the hell is wrong with my fellow vagina Americans? I’m ashamed that they are actually following for the Palin ploy and basing their vote on a similarity of lady parts.

So, what does Bloomberg do now? Send the CEO of United a tasty cookie bouquet and a card that says “My bad! Sorry!”

Surely the numbers on the white women voters will drift back to their natural place once they start to learn Miss Teen Alaska’s actual views on issues that matter to them.

According to the Ketchikan Daily News, in August 2006 Palin said: “We need to come to the defense of southeast Alaska when proposals are on the table, like the bridge, and not allow the spinmeisters to turn this project or any other into something that’s so negative.”

Spinmeisters? Maverick? SarahLiarMcBacacaCuda?

How I loath thee Palin.

Dear “White Women”:

Please enjoy your new coathanger abortions, paying for your own rape kits, lack of access to contraception, ruined environment, proudly ignorant children, and if were lucky enough, global nuclear holocaust. You deserve it.

In Christ,
President Sarah Palin

Speaking as the white owner/operator of working ovaries, I took heart in what Chuck Todd said about that shift among my brethren: it makes no sense. A shift that dramatic among a key demographic should put McCain up by a zillion points. Something else is going on in that poll. In Todd’s words, something that nothing else in that poll explains. He’s not jumping on the “OMG HOPEY’S IN FLAMEZ!” bandwagon without an explanation for that. Neither am I.

Oh, and to white women everywhere: stop letting your children answer the phone for you. They like the pretty lady with the crazy eyes.

DoctorCulturae September 9, 2008 at 9:32 am

Bush=McCain
My dear Wonketteers: do not lose hope. The wingnut base is merely energized. They’ve always been there. They now just have excited private parts. (Someone should do a study of the children born in red states June 09 and wide stance activities during Sept 08). The Rovians have always done this. This is what they do. Hopesman has expected this. Since they can do nothing else, what would we expect?

Eventually Hopesters’ Team Fact will have to take it directly into the face of the Fakers, not avoid the fear-mongering and bait-n-switch shenanigans. If the Repubnuts want fear I say take it to them: describe exactly what the world of the last eight years will look like with four more years of the same. Raise the ante on them. Take it to the hoop Hopey.

My guess is this election will come down to a couple of as yet unspoken passionate comments. For the Demtards the best ones will be ‘zingers’ about how the past will lead us to a horrific future, NOT about some foible of McDumpy or Simple Sarah. That only continues to excite teh wingnut sexiness.

Keep the faith. Snark on! Snark on! Snark on!

Every month we get these stories about how Obama is not meeting fundraising expectations just before the monthly totals are announced. Every month the total is higher than the story suggested it would be. If the Obama campaign isn’t planting these stories they are at least working to its advantage. It brings in extra funds and it gives the campaign a ‘good news’ story when the fundraising is announced.

WadISay September 9, 2008 at 9:46 am

Would it be sexist of me to ask what Sarah Palin’s breasts are like? I mean, we know what Hopey’s look like.

McCorpse doesn’t raise much of a stink about his new celebrity. Hypocrite. As long as it benefits him in meaningless polls and distract the lemmings from real issues, he’ll play it like a Billboard hit. However, every trendy song quickly starts to grate nerves after hearing it over and over and over. The debates will show their incompetence and Caribou Barbie’s shine will tarnish at a crucial time.

“A recent e-mail message to McCain fund-raisers unveiled new incentives to spur them in their final push. For the primary, anyone who raised $100,000 or more earned the title of Trailblazer, while those who raised $250,000 or more became Innovators. Now Trailblazers who raise another $100,000 for the party for the general election can become Super-Trailblazers, and Innovators who raise another $250,000 earn the title of Super-Innovators.” WaPo

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

and,

When was the last time that a presidential candidate skipped Pub financing? Do we fully know the possibilities here? It may allow Obama to constantly increase his ground-game like he did in the primaries, taking district by district using covert-ops. (I was going to say black-ops, but you might think I’m a racists.) Seriously, let’s lower expectations, motivate the (ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY HUGE) intertube base and then chuckle all the way to the bank, er, whitehouse.

Mr. Dick Sprinkles September 9, 2008 at 10:15 am

Hopey should definitely whip up an ad imitating the infamous Obama celebrity ad, substituting Palin and her adoring fundie throngs for Obama in Berlin and then top it off with Bush’s and Cheney’s starry-eyed endorsements of her.

Dear Chicken Little,

The sky while perhaps a bit cloudier today than yesterday is not yet falling. It’s not very helpful when you run around screaming that the sky is falling before it actually is. I suggest that you perhaps get under your desk with your head between your knees and rock softly back and forth until the weather clears up.

Or if the ups and downs of US politics is too much for you, you could try helping the Liberals win the election in Canada so that it will be easier to immigrate once the Republicans inevitably win in the States.

But seriously, don’t get freaked out by the Sarah-love just yet.

Cogito Ergo Bibo September 9, 2008 at 10:42 am

[re=89617]OffTheRecord[/re]: Seriously. I need more guys like that, settling things down and explaining why it isn’t time to light your hair on fire, yet. I do wonder what’s going on with that poll. If gains among such a key demographic don’t also dramatically shift the overall total, that means McCain is losing among some demographic (or group of demographics) they aren’t measuring. Sanity, intelligence and emotional maturity, perhaps?

sezme September 9, 2008 at 10:44 am

Also, “David Plouffe points out that Obama just needs to hold the Kerry states and win Colorado, Indiana, Florida, Virginia, Nevada, or Nebraska.” leaves out the part that he expects Obama to win Iowa and New Mexico. And then he just needs to win one of the above states (or Ohio) to win the general. Actually, victory in Ohio or Florida even without Iowa or New Mexico would be enough (always assuming the Kerry states are held).

WadISay September 9, 2008 at 10:53 am

[re=89636]Mr. Dick Sprinkles[/re]: Not going to happen, nor is a lot of other good, sarcastic snarkiness that could be leveled at the Repubs. And 527s aren’t going to do it either. Hopey thinks he needs to make this campaign about issues, not personalities. He said so last night on Olbermann, where I thought he was very flat and mooshey. He was getting slow pitches in the wheelhouse and bunting them.

btwbfdimho September 9, 2008 at 10:58 am

In 2004, white women voted 55% Bush, 44% Kerry; so don’t expect too much from this subgroup of the clitorati.

jimh September 9, 2008 at 11:19 am

Where all the white women at!?!

eatsshootsleaves September 9, 2008 at 11:22 am

That poll is the ONLY poll that shows such a dramatic shift; all indications show that Sarah Palin wasn’t actually received that well among women. Also, even with that 20-point shift, McCain is still LOSING. And Rasmussen is tied today, so it looks like the race might be where it was before the conventions: i.e. slight advantage to Obama.

(Also, I’m a white woman, and yet somehow ABC has ever tried to poll me, the sexists.)

V572625694 September 9, 2008 at 12:14 pm

[re=89592]springfield_meltdown[/re]: Regrettably this would seem to indicate that vagina-Americans are sometimes as dumb as the penis-bearing-Americans who voted for Bush because he seemed like someone you’d like to have a beer with, whereas Kerry (or Gore) seemed like “elitists.” I expected more too. “Vote for me–I won’t make you feel stupid!”

Mr. Dick Sprinkles September 9, 2008 at 12:48 pm

[re=89668]WadISay[/re]: Good metaphor, that’s exactly how it came off. Thing is, you know Obama bin Laden’s got good snark to give — “You’re likable enough, Hillary” — and it must be so hard to keep it in check. I like to think that every time he says “Uhhh” or “ummm” or “Look, let me just say this,” he’s really thinking, “You have GOT to be fucking kidding me, I’m in a close race with THESE two idiots??”

RuperttheBear September 9, 2008 at 1:36 pm

[re=89613]WadISay[/re]: Do like I do and GO TO THE BIBLE:

“Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins.” Song of Solomon 7:3

And then Sarah shoots the roes in the head and turns them into teriyaki roe-jerky.
