Go John Roberts!“WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court is siding with Ohio’s top elections official in a dispute with the state Republican Party over voter registrations. The justices on Friday overruled a federal appeals court that had ordered Ohio’s top elections official to do more to help counties verify voter eligibility.” In other words, the very liberal Barack Obama has paid off the Supreme Court with millions of Acorns and promised them all sorts of fancy things if he wins the election, such as bombs from Bill Ayers. Cthulhu/Paul for President 2008!

HedonismBot October 17, 2008 at 1:40 pm

This, of course, is good news for John McCain.

shortsshortsshorts October 17, 2008 at 1:40 pm

Look at this…. LOOK AT THIS. THIS IS AN OUTRAGE. None of Walnuts’ stupid ploys are working.

WIDTAP October 17, 2008 at 1:42 pm

Roberts is in the tank for ACORN.

bitchincamaro October 17, 2008 at 1:42 pm

What the hell is that, a Republican gang sign?

tunamelt October 17, 2008 at 1:42 pm

This tank must be very roomy or very crowded and uncomfortable.

liberaltruthsayer October 17, 2008 at 1:43 pm

Acorns are officially more valuable than any of the currency lower than a Benjamin.

ReelectTilden October 17, 2008 at 1:44 pm

The court didn’t really take a position on the merits of the case; they just said a private citizen couldn’t bring a case in federal court under that law.

Oh, that was too serious for Wonkette comments

TRUCKNUTZ!

NoWireHangers October 17, 2008 at 1:44 pm

Dear Supreme Court,

It’s gonna take a hell of a lot more to make up for Bush v. Gore.

Sincerely,

America

gjdodger October 17, 2008 at 1:45 pm

Why does the Supreme Court hate America?

JadedDIssonance October 17, 2008 at 1:45 pm

BUSTED.

What kind of tank is this? I imagine an immense water-tower-top rolling end over end through some rich suburb. Are we sure there’s room for John Roberts in here?

MargeSimpsonsBlackFriend October 17, 2008 at 1:46 pm

Wow, I’m impressed that they FOLLOWED THE FUCKING LAW.

The Constitution is posted on the side of the tank.

WhenTheMessiahComes... October 17, 2008 at 1:46 pm

Don’t worry…the repugs will find some other way to scare/mutilate/attack/disenfranchise the OH voters…I’m hoping for more off duty cops with guns, so that Hopey can ride in on his magical white unicorn and save the day…Biden will be in the background saying “Now this is change we can believe in” *WINK-WINK*

Ooppss sorry I keep daydreaming while blogging!

JadedDIssonance October 17, 2008 at 1:48 pm

[re=138351]WhenTheMessiahComes…[/re]: It’s ok, I’m stocking up on Palm Branches for the Hopetopia rally here in Chicago when He wins.

mattbolt October 17, 2008 at 1:48 pm

I’m behind Cthulu. He’s got the tenticular fortitude we need.

Texan Bulldoggette October 17, 2008 at 1:49 pm

I think some of those old geezers would like to retire but are afraid to before they know Barry will be president. Except for Thomas & Scalia, most of them would like sane, literate, non Bible-thumpers as colleagues & they know Walnuts/Bible Spice appointees will make them want to drink anti-freeze.

Tommy Says Soooo October 17, 2008 at 1:49 pm

Somewhere Vicky Iseman is weeping sadly into Cindy McCain’s embrace, the mixture of Chanel No. 5 and Preparation H overwhelming their senses so they do not hear a black man approach with steady tread. Fear not, young and mummified Republicans, for it is Clarence of the Court, wearing only a robe that giveth more than it taketh away and Crocs.

Plus it’s Ohio so they do it in the butt to remain virgins.

grendel October 17, 2008 at 1:50 pm

Why vote for the lesser evil?

Sean O October 17, 2008 at 1:50 pm

you misspelled cthulhu! Oh my god, when I sit down with my dungeons and dragons crew in my parent’s basement tonight, my level 19 elven sorceror is going to have a hardy laugh over this.

magic titty October 17, 2008 at 1:53 pm

Well, what does John “The Federalist” McCain think about all this?

mattbolt October 17, 2008 at 1:54 pm

JOE THE PLUMBER FOR SUPREME COURT NOMINATION

Lemme de-clog yer courts, with my plunger o’ justice!

Paterlanger October 17, 2008 at 1:55 pm

Those squirrels were so thoroughly rebuffed by the SCOTUS that I’m thinking I might stick pictures of Antonin Scalia on my bird feeders.

bitchincamaro October 17, 2008 at 1:59 pm

[re=138356]Tommy Says Soooo[/re]: +2 for the Crocs!

mrtrailsafety October 17, 2008 at 2:01 pm

[re=138341]tunamelt[/re]: in that tank, its never too crowded for a reacharound!

S.Luggo October 17, 2008 at 2:01 pm

This Supreme Court result would not have happened if Antonin had not left early on Friday to view the resplendent New England foliage and burn down a few orphanages. Boy, there’s gonna be some major ass-whoopin’ when he gets back on Monday.

WhenTheMessiahComes... October 17, 2008 at 2:02 pm

Ok srly…has anyone else heard the rumor that Powell is gonna in the Tank for Hopey??? Pls say its so!!!

Kev-O-Tron October 17, 2008 at 2:02 pm

It’s really quite funny to see the GOP finally giving a shit about fraud of any description.

President Beeblebrox October 17, 2008 at 2:08 pm

[re=138360]Sean O[/re]: IÄ! IÄ! CTHULHU FHTAGN!

Cthulhu ’08 – why vote for the lesser evil?

AngryBlakGuy October 17, 2008 at 2:11 pm

…I cant wait to hear WALNUTS! and his hacks call Scalia and Thomas activist judges!

Tommy Says Soooo October 17, 2008 at 2:12 pm

[re=138378]WhenTheMessiahComes…[/re]: We’ll know Sunday on Meet the Press. Pro: Powell wants to screw the neocons. Con: his kid is in the tank for Walnuts.

shoeho October 17, 2008 at 2:27 pm

[re=138386]AngryBlakGuy[/re]: Exactly what I was thinking. Hmmm, maybe SCOTUS has a conscience after all? Are they trying to make up for the H*LL they put us through for eight years with their “pick” in 2000?

WagTehGod October 17, 2008 at 2:35 pm

[re=138393]shoeho[/re]: Doubtful. Two of the nine justices got their jobs thanks to that 2000 clusterfuck.

Polly Sigh-Entist October 17, 2008 at 2:40 pm

thank jebus – ohio pollworkers do not need anything else to distract them from doing THEIR JOB in not turning anyone away who has already been deemed eligible to vote . the vast majority of them are already distracted by much smaller things – like anything shiny, or Disney, or with Caribou Barbie on it…

TGY October 17, 2008 at 2:52 pm

I can only think ‘Hahaha, fuckers’. That’s what this election has reduced me to.

Gopherit v2.0 October 17, 2008 at 3:13 pm

If those filthy bastards are getting in the tank, I’m getting out. I was getting pruny anyway.

lawrenceofthedesert October 17, 2008 at 3:17 pm

[re=138346]gjdodger[/re]: They think it’s their job to hate America, so we don’t have to. Lots of Christ complexes on the Court, always. That’s why I prefer Clarence Carter to Clarence Thomas (“Slip Away” is a classic).

Miller October 17, 2008 at 4:05 pm

What, they lose a bet and had to let blacks and Democrats vote this time? Never let Scalia gamble and drink, you end up having to do things like this. This is not the Conservative court I thought we had.

AnAdmirerOfThatOne October 17, 2008 at 4:05 pm

You guys have this all wrong. The Supremes got confused and thought Blackwell is still Ohio’s Sec’y of State. After all, he’s been all over the teevees lately.
