It’s nice to speculate that the Dems might finally realize that they have several majorities.

SlipperyDick August 19, 2009 at 8:41 am

Why is it that failed creeps like Carly Fiorina that have been dismissed for bad judgement, poor values and incompetence are automatically deemed worthy of the time of day from main stream media?

Reading the papers and watching cable news is like living through one big horrible never ending episode of Lost.

Eric Cheney August 19, 2009 at 8:48 am

[re=390237]meyotch[/re]: Even with majorities it would take the audacity of hope to believe they’ll manage to actually grow a pair and stand up and lead.

Carly halved HP’s stock value, now she wants to run for public office. She’s certainly a true follower of the George Bush “Fail Up” philosophy.
However, I’m kinda enjoying the snark opportunities the Lady Repugnant contenders are offering.

[re=390238]SlipperyDick[/re]: she looks perky, and a shitload of money.

These morons keep complaining about “government-funded,” or “taxpayer-funded,” or “tax-money-funded” health care programs. What the hell do they think Medicaid and Medicare are? And, by the way, many of these asshole protesters take full advantage of………..Medicaid and Medicare. Which indeed are, completely, government-funded, taxpayer-funded and tax-money-funded federal government health care programs.

These protesters are assholes, and they need to shut the hell up.

And they need to stop making racist, bigoted, anti-Semitic and childish, uninformed comments, and they need to stop hauling guns around in public.

What a bunch of morons!

Terry August 19, 2009 at 9:11 am

Carly Fiorina is the corporate world’s Sarah Palin. It must seem a natural move to her to head into politics, especially now that Ms Palin has left office.

Eric Cheney August 19, 2009 at 9:11 am

[re=390242]meyotch[/re]: On bad days I think that Barney Frank is the only Democrat. I sincerely hope you’re right though, and that we’re overdue.

Monsieur Grumpe August 19, 2009 at 9:12 am

If the delay in payments for clunkers is a reason for not having a government run health care plan then the Katrina fiasco is the grounds for sterilizing every member and distant relative of the Bush family.

If the Democrats have finalyy arrived at the “Well, fuck you then” point of view, then we could truly be in for a golden 8 years.
I won’t really believe it, though, until I see some Republicans behind bars.

slavojzizek August 19, 2009 at 9:20 am

Sarah, we love you, put ‘Dems to go it alone?’, what is this, TPM? Shouldn’t it be more like ‘Dems plan to reimburse cash for clunkers obviously another example of Nazism’.

The Republicans were never a problem, it’s the Corporocrats like Conrad and Baucus whose constituency seems to consist entirely of people in top hats, monocles, and who light cigars with $100 bills.

ManchuCandidate August 19, 2009 at 10:10 am

Note to Carly: Don’t shit where you plan to run for senate. Still plenty of pissed off (former) HP employees who feel they might owe you something for fucking up their company.

If the GOP were really smart, they’d dump Carly and hire someone from India for 1/10 the cost and the same result (lose.)

Diadhuit August 19, 2009 at 10:21 am

Hmmm… Dems go it alone… that means there will be a series of meetings culminating in the shooting deaths of most democratic congress members during the Dems’ traditional “Circular Firing Squad”

hobospacejunkie August 19, 2009 at 10:23 am

Dems go it alone? Ha ha ha ha ha! Invertebrate creatures are not the future of evolution. I’ll believe it when I don’t hear about 18,000 a year dying due to lack of access to health care.

Also, hey Carly, take your dumb name and go fail somewhere else. Electing women to the senate is no longer a novelty. These days you also need some accomplishments next to your name.

WadISay August 19, 2009 at 10:23 am

Somewhere, there’s an alternative universe where Chertoff, “Helluvajob Brownie”, Rummie, Condi and most of the rest of Bush administration disemboweled itself in shame after screwing up.

finallyhappy August 19, 2009 at 10:52 am

[re=390307]WadISay[/re]: In the movie Serenity, the assassin basically has an arrogant gov’t employee impale himself on a sword(well, he helps – a lot). He points out that there is no shame in this and that this is an honorable death- rather than waiting for someone to kill him in his sleep. Too bad, Josh Whedon doesn’t have more of a say in how we do things.

liquiddaddy August 19, 2009 at 11:23 am

We’re relying on Dems to do something honorable and courageous? Just kill me now and harvest my organs.

S.Luggo August 19, 2009 at 11:30 am

“Rahm Emanuel … said the heated opposition was evidence that Republicans had made a political calculation to draw a line against any health care changes…”.

No shit, Sherlock.

Servo August 19, 2009 at 11:30 am

I can’t wait to hear Carly’s catch phrase, resulting in tourettes from back-pedaling and regret, and finally ending with the inevitable finger-pointing about her failure.
I’ll avoid the Christmas rush and start hating her now.

Mustang August 19, 2009 at 11:35 am

HaHaHa car dealers. Now you know what it feels like to have to be at the mercy of someone who just might be trying to screw you. What happens when you send in your forms? Does some bureaucrat tell you they have to check with their manager while you sit and sweat? HaHaHa.

SayItWithWookies August 19, 2009 at 11:40 am

People are getting killed in Iraq? Hey, they’re not American soldiers, so that’s a plus. Get our boys out and send in the patriotic motherfuckers who put them there in the first place. Bill Kristol and Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz will have a wonderful time in their new beacon of democracy.

Mahousu August 19, 2009 at 12:13 pm

Why all the hate for Carly Fiorina? Don’t people who don’t vote deserve representation, too? What do you mean, “by definition, no”?

Humpback August 19, 2009 at 12:18 pm

Down with this socialist government! They can’t even quickly deliver my free money.

Paul Tardy August 19, 2009 at 12:22 pm

That’s not a fair comparison Bush would have reacted faster if Chinese were in trouble too.

Paul Tardy August 19, 2009 at 12:44 pm

Carly Fiorina: She didn’t waste her vote, she won’t waste yours. BTW, is she still hot?

Carly, got rid of 23,000 jobs when HP merged with Compaq and had a little spying controversy. Sounds like republican presidential timber.
