SplatSinister Michigan abortion monster Rep. Bart Stupak has been so mean to nice ladies in the pas few months that he is considering running for the gubernatorial nomination of their party, the Democrats. It makes a lot of sense: when everyone hates the crickety shits out of you, maybe they will… hmm… elect you for governor? For life? Hooray! (Profits!) [CQ]

What does this have to do with the wave of rampant anti-ginger prejudice now sweeping late-night tee vee?

hedgehog January 13, 2010 at 12:44 pm

I love Stupak’s name because it allows me to call him what he is — “stupid hack” — while saving myself the effort of uttering the extra syllable.

Gopherit January 13, 2010 at 12:46 pm

If it gets one more jesus-freaked dick weasel out of the US house, I say let him run. With luck, he’ll lose in the primary anyway.

MMS January 13, 2010 at 12:48 pm

I wasn’t aware that those from the UP were allowed to be governor of Michigan. I mean, they let Canadians be governor (i.e., Jennifer Granholm), but shit, poutine-munchin’ yoopers?

What’s next…a light-skinned president who can speak with a negro dialect if he so chooses?

JMP January 13, 2010 at 12:48 pm

Go for it, Bart; the dick won’t be able to hold important legislation hostage for the embryo fetishists as Governor, so this is good news for women everywhere. Except Michigan, obviously.

PeteJayhawk v2.0 January 13, 2010 at 12:49 pm

This makes perfect sense. I can’t think of a worse punishment for someone I hate than being governor of – or just living in – Michigan.

Campaign slogan: “I didn’t do it.”

donner_froh January 13, 2010 at 12:54 pm

That picture is the perfect representation of “self-satisfied smirk”.

SayItWithWookies January 13, 2010 at 12:59 pm

Run, Bart, run! I’d much rather you stop progress in Michigan than in the nation as a whole.

queeraselvis v 2.0 January 13, 2010 at 1:03 pm

Stupak looks like the product of an unholy union between Newt Gingrich and Barney Frank, with a little Scott Roeder and Beelzebub thrown in for good measure.

Mrs Bitch January 13, 2010 at 1:04 pm

I swear to God, if he runs I’ll run against him. Really, how much damage could I do if I got elected? Stupidak, on the other hand, would take a state that’s already in the crapper, and flush.

hockeymom January 13, 2010 at 1:05 pm

Ann Arbor prepares to secede.

Lascauxcaveman January 13, 2010 at 1:08 pm

[re=493838]hedgehog[/re]: Stupak is as stupak does.

(Has anyone said that yet? We tend to repeat ourselves a lot here…)

snideinplainsight January 13, 2010 at 1:12 pm

…sigh…Jennifer Granholm… sigh…

I’m sorry, what was the question?

bitchincamaro January 13, 2010 at 1:14 pm

[re=493849]SayItWithWookies[/re]: “progress in Michigan” These words were rejected by my intertoob typing machine. Apparently it’s never seen the phrase used before.

[re=493849]SayItWithWookies[/re]: Hah Hah, please don’t do that to us. Although I doubt he could make it much worse. also. and C Street.

Michiganders (yes they call themselves that) have got to be smarter than this. There are real humans living there.

[re=493842]MMS[/re]: Is Stupak really a UPer? No wonder he’s such a moron.

If we repeat it, then it’s just a meme.

Ahh. I think I just got déjà vu.

Jukesgrrl January 13, 2010 at 1:40 pm

They’re kicking him out of the C Street house. Women are refusing to come in for “visits,” knowing he’s there.

glamourdammerung January 13, 2010 at 1:41 pm

I am for him running (and failing) if it gets it out of the House.

dijetlo January 13, 2010 at 1:45 pm

They should succeed and declare Independence as the sovereign state of North Haiti, at which point they’d be eligible for foreign aid and UN disaster relief. If they’d like to make Bart their King in the process, I say let them.
Michiganders are a proud and independent folk and I, for one, wish them all the best in their future life as an impoverished third world cess pit (P.S please take Texas with you, also).

whiskey tango foxtrot January 13, 2010 at 1:45 pm

When everyone hates the crickety shits out of you, maybe they will… hmm… elect you for governor.

This has been the prevailing political theory in Illinois politics for at least half a century. It was inevitable that eventually it would spread to our neighbors like some kind of filthy contagion.

Buzz Feedback January 13, 2010 at 1:47 pm

I’m beginning to think unemployment is always high in states like Michigan and Ohio because the people there are remarkably stupid. Also.

lawrenceofthedesert January 13, 2010 at 1:51 pm

Real meaning of this: Stupak doesn’t think he can get re-elected… desperately seeking another gig… Land of Big Three still in search of 1957.

Manos: Hands of Fate January 13, 2010 at 2:15 pm

You knoooww … Stupak voted pretty much pro-liberal on most everything, except on abortion.

Estate Tax Repeal: No

Drilling in ANWR: No

Extend Patriot Act: N

CAFTA: No

Iraq War: No

Mark Sanford left C Street to run for Governor of South Carolina, & we know how that turned out. Might a victorious Gov. Stupak have a waltz over Escanaba with some lucky Slavic gal?

mardam422 January 13, 2010 at 2:20 pm

[re=493882]dijetlo[/re]: secede. Moran

He should’ve aborted that Cosby sweater…

Snarkalicious January 13, 2010 at 2:31 pm

[re=493883]whiskey tango foxtrot[/re]: Actually, no. What we do, you see, is to identify which one is the crook, and then elect that crook. It is assumed the other candidate, not having chosen graft as his/her primary source of diversion, probably diddles children.

Oldskool January 13, 2010 at 2:34 pm

Hey Michiganders, don’t feel bad, we have to live down Virginia Foxx AND Patrick McHenry.

DickRod January 13, 2010 at 2:39 pm

[re=493842]MMS[/re]: I think you confused pasties with potine. NO ONE up there eats that Canadian curds-and-whey-with-gravy stuff. However, we have been known to drink a LOT of LaBatts Blue (aka Butt Flu).

JMP January 13, 2010 at 2:40 pm

[re=493890]Extemporanus[/re]: Hey, you can always come up with new memes for him. For one, I’ve heard a rumor that Stupak Shakur is actually still alive.

One Yield Regular January 13, 2010 at 3:03 pm

I wish some of these born again boy-men, instead of throwing up roadblocks to health care, could translate some of their fanaticism for protecting the unborn innocents into doing something about the U.S. having an infant mortality rate greater than that of FORTY-FIVE other countries.

Gopherit January 13, 2010 at 3:13 pm

[re=493943]One Yield Regular[/re]: No, if jesus wanted those dead babies to live, they would have been born to wealthy families.

Much love,

helzapoppn January 13, 2010 at 4:35 pm

Stupak is attempting a high-difficulty feat: Losing Two Offices with One Announcement.

He won’t win the governor’s race (not even the primary), and by running he’d deliver his House seat to any Republican with a pulse.

lochnessmonster January 13, 2010 at 5:41 pm

I have a question for this goof. Abortion rights are the law of the land. I am a tax paying citizen and I’d like to know why MY OWN PERSONAL taxes can’t be used for an abortion if I want one under this “Health Care Bill”. Isn’t reproductive health part of whole person health care or do you select only certain parts of the female body to cover? If so, I say no more Cialis or Viagra for the men.

Mr Blifil January 13, 2010 at 11:10 pm

I have a shorter question for the distinguished gentleman: Hey, panty-sniffing douche, what the hell business is it of yours what goes in or comes out of the Cooze Canal?
