We've received some, er, negative feedback regarding our in-depth investigation into the clan of would-be SCOTUS Samuel Alito. Most of it alleges that we here at Wonkette would not bear the glare of the spotlight so easily ourselves:
I'm sure that there are plenty of websites that would love to feature your face or even some television stations that would love to see you. I can even give you the names of some, my favorite for you would obviously be uglypeople.com.Indeed.
All this and we haven't even called anyone gay. Yet.

I think that it is very low of your website to comment on the family's attire and perceived attitude at the nomination. Primarly, it is none of your business or your job to report on the clothes that were worn. I believed that as a political blog it would be more appropriate to talk about the actual nominee and he's judical background not his family's attire. I find it highly offensive that you belittle the family. I would love to hear how you would react to the public scrunity that the family has undergone in TWO days. It's easy to hide behind the web, no one can make fun of your appearance or attire. I find it intersting that your name is not more publicly known or that your ugly face is not shown on television. Maybe you should get a life and get off the Alito family. I'm sure that there are plenty of websites that would love to feature your face or even some television stations that would love to see you. I can even give you the names of some, my favorite for you would obviously be uglypeople.com. Now, don't hesitate to contact them! Finally, I do not believe it is your job to comment on how the family acted, it would be interesting to see if you would be overjoyed at not being able to see your own father nominated for the supreme court; since from where they were standing it was impossible to see him. I would love to see if you'd had a huge grin and fake it for the cameras. But more importantly, would your father ever be nominated? Thats right, I forgot he's too busy hiding the fact that he is your father. Also, he is an actuary. Still more qualified than Harriet Miers, though.
