Annoying Obama Keeps Reminding GOP Voters Romney Once Liked Health Care

News

Mitt Romney's biggest liability in the 2012 race may not be that he's still Mormon; it may be that when he was governor of Massachusetts, he let people have health coverage. Unfortunately for him, Republicans are working very hard these days to take health coverage from as many people as he can. So Obama does stuff like this:

Speaking to governors of both parties, President Obama said that Romney, a former Massachusetts governor who is a prospective 2012 candidate, actually had a decent idea about addressing the country’s health care system. [...]

The White House has gone out of its way in the past year to remind voters that Romney signed a law in Massachusetts to give health care to more people in Massachusetts, drawing a comparison with the Affordable Care Act.

In an interview in November, Obama compared his health plan with Romney’s. “We thought that if we shaped a bill that wasn’t that different from bills that had previously been introduced by Republicans, including a Republican governor in Massachusetts who’s now running for president, that we would be able to find some common ground there,” Obama said.

Haha, Romney. That's what you get for having a soul for a few years! [Politico]
