Atrocious Gamergater/Alt-Right Blogger Takes Time Off From Harassing Women To Assault A Cop

Hey! Were you aware that Gamergate was still a thing? Because it is! Yes, there are still a bunch of crybabies out there screaming "NOT FAIR!" about women being involved in videogames. They're not getting so much attention anymore, because they are fucking exhausting and boring, but they're there! And they're still harassing women, because they have nothing better to do with their sad little lives.

One of those sad motherfuckers is a fella named Ethan Ralph, editor of the Alt Right/pro-Gamergate site "The Ralph Retort." He is a darling little lamb whose campaign of harassment against game developer Brianna Wu provided part of the basis for that SVU episode about Gamergate -- and included posting detailed information about where she lived, the actual layout of her house, pictures of her house, her pets' names, her car, etc., on Medium.com. Though Medium took the post down, the information went viral, leading to "an avalanche of credit card fraud, hacking attempts on [her] game studio, and even hundreds of dollars of false Steam transactions filed in an identity theft incident."

ANYWAY! Ralph has found himself in a little bit of trouble, as reported by Wu herself over at The Daily Dot. You see, after passing out drunk in the lobby of the Executive Conference and Training Center near Dulles International Airport, Ralph was rudely awakened by some police officers, and responded to this by assaulting one of them.

Here is the police report on his arrest:

Assault: LCSO responded to this location for a report of an intoxicated male sleeping in the lobby. Deputies attempted to wake up the male who in turn assaulted a deputy. The subject was identified as Ethan O. Ralph, 30, of Richmond, VA. Ralph was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice and (2) counts of assault on law enforcement. He is currently being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.

Given his history, none of this is exactly surprising. What is kind of adorable though is the outrage his website has shown for how terribly Black Lives Matter has treated the police.

Apparently, assaulting a police officer when drunk is cool, denying them a parade float, however, is the epitome of evil.

Wu spoke to legal expert Chris Jaramillo, who noted that “being denied bail is usually indicative of more uncouth behavior against an officer than what is normal.” Ralph could face up to five years in prison for the assault, and the denial of bail suggests that no one is interested in going too easy on him. Hopefully, prosecutors will take his past behavior into account in their charges.
