Conservative Actress Maria Conchita Alonso Quits Play Because Lefties Are Being Jerks For Real
On Saturday, we pointed you to the flat-out batshit (and seemingly intentionally hilarious!) three-minute video campaign ad by Tim Donnelly, who will win 28 percent of the vote to not-become California's next governor. The ad costars Cuban-born actress Maria Conchita Alonso, who is conservative and loves her some huevos grandes de la Tim Donnelly!
Now she's quit a San Francisco production of The Vagina Monologues, because leftists are being shitty.
Specifically, some San Francisco Democrats called for a boycott of The Vagina Monologues if Conchito Alonso appeared, because she endorsed a candidate they do not like, and she said the word "illegal" instead of "undocumented." (She supports a path to citizenship, but apparently not in quite the right way.)
The producer of the show, Eliana Lopez, was quoted as telling San Francisco TV station KPIX 5: “We really cannot have her in the show, unfortunately.”
Also, Conchita Alonso is the wrong kind of Latina, because she has a Chihuahua named Tequila.
“We don’t act like that. First of all, that is not a typical Latina,” said Jim Salinas, a longtime Mission resident and former president of the San Francisco Latino Democratic Club, to KPIX 5.
He said critics of Alonso were prepared to boycott the play if she performed.
“First Amendment rights, we all have the right to say something. But it’s also our right to say we object to that,” Salinas said.
Got it. So shitty libs are ready to boycott someone for having different political views than they do, and for having the wrong kind of dog.
