Do We Get a Coup, Too?

Coups are all the rage this month, with Thailand's military winning the "friendliest junta" contest.


The Bush Administration cleverly sent all active duty military to Iraq, so there's no "danger" of a coup d'état in Washington anytime soon. Yet lots of old retired generals are blasting the White House -- not with guns, but with mild criticism.

Retired Maj. Gen. John Batiste, for example, described Rumsfeld as "not a competent wartime leader." Exciting stuff.
