Go Ahead and Pray; I'll Still Carry a Gun
[Religious] supporters will be taking the extraordinary step of praying and believing that God will reduce crime in our nation's capitol over the next six months....Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Washington, D.C. based Christian Defense Coalition, comments, "Throughout our history, Americans have turned to God in prayer during times of crisis, challenge and adversity. In response to the 'crime emergency' declared by Washington's police chief, we are asking the faith community to seek God for His blessing and mercy in helping end the increase of crime in our nation's capital. It is critical that we do not forget to acknowledge God in the midst of all the other efforts the city is putting forward to help deal with the crime emergency. As we pray, we are believing that God will reduce crime in Washington, D.C. over the next six months."
Fight crime tonight, Friday, July 21, at 7:30PM at the nation's mall. Details here.
